Great place definitely recommend, such a cute little spot with so much history. It’s self check in which is so nice if you just want to get there and not talk to anyone after a long day of travel. Loved that there weren’t many people around. All in all it’s a very nice quiet beautiful spot!
The room was very comfortable. It's all contactless but I did make a phone call with them and they were helpful. If the weather was cooler the patio would have been a lovely place to relax but it was well into the 90s, which is too hot for me. The room AC was perfect.
I enjoyed the stay. Comfortable and clean room. Loved the on site restaurant chef Antonio's.
I wish ice was provided but overall it's a cute place. I'll be back
A charming little property near downtown Sarasota. It's central to all of the attractions, shops and beaches. The owners are very attentive to your needs. They are helpful with ideas for entertainment and nearby dining.
Very cozy. Not much privacy in the sense that you feel like anyone in the building can hear sounds you make in the room at night but otherwise it was a lovely quaint little place.
The place itself was nice. I love old style boutique hotels. No complaints on the hotel itself. My only complaint is from the Expedia site. The pictures on the site leads you to believe that some of the rooms have kitchens that don’t actually have kitchens. The standard rooms don’t have kitchens.
There was no kitchenette, the Wi-Fi didn't work my room was above their restaurant, I had to leave because the noise level the next day from setting up in the restaurant was prohibitive, Finally when the manager came to work on the WIFI, it was way too slow, and I couldn't use website on my phone. I had to walk about 1/5 mi away to make phone calls, the chef and staff asked me to leave when I tried to show some guests that in fact their network wasn't listed on the desk reference I was provided in my room, I had to keep running back and forth to the restaurant down the street and plead with them to let me use their phone! It was completely humiliating in both situations.
The room was uncomfortable with the stange bathroom set up with barely any privacy, the lack of a chair to sit on, the lack of comfortable blanets and pillows on the bed, the old TV that didnt allow for personal app sign in, and the lack of an outlet on both sides of the bed. Money was spent on the unnecessary design and not spent on making guests comfortable. Additionally, the check in experience was poor since we waited a long time while one agent checked her email instead of turning around to see a line had formed and the other agent took forever to get her attention. When we did finally get to check in, the email-checking agent was also quite rude in her attitude. The breakfast was awful with soggy eggs, greasy bacon, burned sausage, sticky oatmeal, and a toaster that burns the toast. So from the room, to the staff, to the breakfast, this was a terrible experience. Thankfully at least the bed was comfortable, the curtains kept out the light, and the space was clean - so the bare minimum was met. But at almost $900, I expect far more for my money.
