RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #253A will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Fantastic Location

Access to the quiet, private beach was fantastic. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the beach for use by residents and umbrellas in each unit. I could overlook the outdated condo for the sake of having a great location and access to the gorgeous, quiet beach. There was not elevator access to my room on the second floor so I suggest requesting a lower level room if you are unable to carry luggage up and down a flight of stairs.

Nice beach chairs available daily at the pool and beach. Located close to many delicious restaurants. Our only complaint was our room was tiny. This is no fault of the property owners just didn’t realize how cramped we would feel.

Beach heaven....

Second time here....beach is pristine...sand soft and white..the Gulf at her finest. The staff particularly MARGARET went out of her way to accommodate....so helpful and friendly. Met wonderful people...overall a great vibe. no elevator...........i had to schlep upstairs but no big deal. Ill be back

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It appeared to be a cute, quaint rental on the beach. It was on the beach, but was not what it seemed. Everything was old and dingy including the mattress which sagged toward the headboard. The walls were so thin that we could hear actual words spoken at normal volume in the rooms surrounding ours. Front desk personnel was delightful. We stayed there one night, then found a different place for the remaining 3 nights; better to spend more than stay there.

Great budget friendly place

Overall very good, but for budget vacationers. You're renting a room with little amenities, but for us it was fine. Room could have been cleaner. Pool, beach and grounds were very nice and Ryan was awesome!

Beach tranquility

The property was "Old Florida" but clean and pleasant. The pool was a lovely alternative to the beach and not over run by children. The beach was fantastic- it was natural and not crowded. Walking on the beach everyday was restorative and tranquil.

The efficiency apt was as expected. As we were napping in bed Saturday afternoon very load drilling noise coming from (apparent) construction in next door apt woke us. Lasted approximately 15-20 minutes. No warning from property manager.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I enjoyed my 4 day stay at Silver Sands very much. Location is fabulous; short walk to the beach. Margaret and the other Staff takes excellent care of the pool and other common areas. Pool is always sparkling clean. Rooms vary apparently as they are individually owned and the furniture and other amenities depend on what the owner's have provided. My room was just "OK". It's a different type of resort experience than I am accustomed to as there is no regular housekeeping in the rooms. Nothing cleaned and used towels and beach towels accumulate but if guest wants to, they can take used towels to laundry area and get clean ones. Just different I guess in. this type of operation.My one huge concern though is there is NO RECYCLING at this location; nothing that I saw. Just a shame to see dozens of perfectly recyclable items - plastic water bottles, aluminum cans, milk jugs, paper, etc. etc going out in the trash. Recycling has been common place for decades and I don't understand why a resort in such a prime location would not have it and not promote it? Publix supermarket a few miles away has recycling containers by their store for all common recyclables. This should be available at Silver Sands - guests should not have to haul recyclable items elsewhere.

Perfect spot for a night

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I needed an economical place to stay to fill a hiatus in our travels. This was the prefect spot on the beach. The space is exactly as it appears in the photos and it was clean. We took advantage of the privileges at The Cedars resort and made friends at the tiki bar. We also enjoyed dining at The Lazy Lobster and hopped around Bridge St. on Anna Maria Island - all in close proximity. The resort provided everything we needed to enjoy lounging on the beach - towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, and even sand toys for kids. We are looking forward to a second return before the year ends.

It is situated very close to Brandenton Beach and St. Armans Circle. We also enjoyed the easy access to the beach and pool.There were many great restaurants in close proximity. We are interested in renting a unit for the entire month of March. Because we are planning to stay for a month and not ten days we need a one bedroom condo. We are planning to book with Silver Sands if there is availability and a one bedroom unit. We were highly impressed with the Silver Sands facility.
