Cottage on the canal

3 bed 2 bath and 1 car garage on the canal. Close to Ana Maria Island beaches, IMG Academy and shopping. Newly renovated inside and out. Large master bedroom has a king size bed along with a full bedroom set and a desk. The two spare rooms have a queen size bed also with full bedroom sets. All bedrooms have tv’s in them.
Outside has a screened in heated swimming pool and covered Lani. The dock is 30 feet in length and also has a floating dock. Also on premise are two adult and one child kayak. Will to rent monthly, week or short time lease. Please email jrwmer@

Great place to stay, super convenient location. The neighborhood was super quiet day and night. The interior is spacious, more than enough room for a family and more. The pool was one of the cleanest pools I’ve been in on a vacation stay, great job to whomever maintains it. Our favorite part of the house is the exterior, the pool area and the dock. Overall super happy choosing this house, we would choose it again.

We had a wonderful time. The house was like the photos online. The heated pool was so nice. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by the canal. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We were only there 3 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely go back again.

Family Relaxation

The property is everything as described and more. Very clean with all the essentials both in the kitchen and around the house. The pool was clean and enjoyed by everyone. The back area was a bonus with the tiki hut and canal. We had a blast fishing and watching boats go by. Quiet neighborhood close to everything. A nice getaway

The house was in perfect conditions!! It was well equipped with everything we needed! The property itself is pretty big where you can enjoy the pool but also have a nice patio area where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. Big enough dock for our boat and there’s a boat ramp really close by to the house which is a big plus!!!

Location was easy to get to and from beaches and places inland. Very clean house with plenty of room. Pool and outside areas were great to relax in, and so many different options to enjoy so everyone could find their own spot. Only downside is the pool didn’t have much of a shallow end so would be difficult for smaller kids to enjoy with a flotation device

We stayed here for a lacrosse tournament in the area. The home was immaculate and beautiful. The 3 bedrooms are large with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are clean and updated and come with bath towels. The outside in the backyard is amazing. There’s even an outside kitchen and a lot of seating. The owner was so nice and flexible. I hope to get back for an actual vacation!

Fabulous house in great location

We enjoyed our recent stay at Cottage on the Canal. The check in process was seamless and the house was exactly as shown in the pictures. We were in town for soccer and it was nice to find an umbrella and some chairs in the garage to help us with our stay. During our downtime, we enjoyed the kayaks, the firepit, sitting on the edge of the canal, and swimming in the DEEP pool. Towels were very soft and coffee in the kitchen with everyday spices were a plus. Would love to rent this house again!

Spacious, clean, and comfortable. The house was so nicely decorated, and the kitchen was well equipped with all that was needed. So nice to have a TV in every room. We had many hours of fun in the pool, and nice beach towels right by the glass doors out to the pool. Awesome outdoor area! The seawall and dock were perfect for docking our boat, and for fishing off of. Plenty of room for parking cars and boat trailer in the driveway. Would definitely rent again!

Best VRBO Ever!

Let me start by saying, we have stayed at many vacation rentals all over the country in the past 5 years and unfortunately we have high expectations based on pricing. I can tell you that this VRBO met and totally exceeded our expectations. The previous reviews are correct, the pictures do not do it justice at all! This place is completely remodeled and immaculate...even the baseboards are perfectly cleaned all throughout the house. There was not one spec of dust anywhere and no corners were cut where anything was concerned. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking utensils, there is plenty are plenty of comfy places to sit and eat or to just relax. The pool area is crystal clean and my kids loved that it was deep! The dock looks brand new, it was cleaned off perfectly, no bird poop anywhere on any of the chairs (loungers and tiki chairs). Maureen even had fishing poles ready to go for fishing. You can fish for hours off the dock, with frozen shimp and catch a variety of fish. The kayaks were in perfect shape too, not old and beat up. The 4 bikes were in perfect shape. I mean this place was amazing. 10/10 isn't even enough compared to other places. Maureen was always quick to respond if we had questions and we would definitely stay here again. The neighborhood was completely quiet and very safe.
