Santodomingo me Encanto

El Hoel tiene sus instalaciones muy viejas, y nuestra habitacion estaba sin limpiar, pero cuando dije en recepcion inmediatamente vinieron a limpiarla, la señora que lo hizo muy amable, es muy serca de la zona colonial, mucho ambiente y buenos Restaurantes, su ubicacion perfecta.

The Roma 1 was under construction so we all stayed in the Roma 2. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. The location was great. The bathroom water had very low pressure and the wifi was not that great.

Un desastre

Hace años dejé de alojarme en este establecimiento por su forma de intentar emgañar al turista. Volví pensando que quizas habian cambiado. Al pagar con targeta me quisieron cobrar el 18% de impuestos, pero mi precio incluia tasas e impuestos, cuando se lo demostrè me dijeron que era comision por pagar con targeta. Resido en el pais y se que es ilegal la comision. Finalmente, al ver que no me dejaba engañar, desistieron. La habitacion era amplia pero los cristales no los limpiaron en años y tenia paredes con agujeros. Finalmente el aire acondicionado no funcionaba, lo que no es raro en este establecimiento

the people that work there was great but the owner

Well we went to Roma to supposed to be in that room or why they didn't tell us and there's a whole bunch of activity that was going on that I did not approve of and this wasn't right and I should not stay but it's not know we can't get no refunds anything and I didn't see nothing in the contract so they like it

CAUTION: Hotel charges 18% tax for credit card use

CAUTION: 1. This hotel will charge you an 18% surcharge for using a credit card to pay your bill. This charge is not disclosed by Expedia, so it's a shock when you arrive with no backup reservations! 2. The email confirmation from Expedia gives you the name and address of Aparta Hotel 1, which only rents units for a month or longer and is at a different address than that given in the email. The correct daily rental hotel is Aparta Hotel Roma 2 on Calle 19 de Marzo at the corner of Conde. DO NOT GO TO ANY OTHER ADDRESS! I was told that many Expedia clients get lost due to the false address information. There was no hot water in the room I was assigned the evening I arrived. On the second day, I was transferred to a room with hot water. Having said that, the following is the rest of my review of my stay at the hotel. 1. The front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. 2. The rooms are clean and a good deal for the price. 3. The maid service is great. 4. The hotel is steps from the main street in the historic district, Conde, so many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. 5. The bed is comfortable.

Nice hotel very close to the strip

half a block away from the shopping and food areas, 6 blocks from the marina, and 6 blocks from a A.T.M. Friendly staff and great location!

Good location near tourist area

Another Dominican hotel that had no clue I reserved a room... and as usual, treated me like I was stupid for arriving without reservation. Found the reservation two days after arrival. Lighting in room was horrible. They try to save electricity with led and fluorescent lighting. But then they also remove some of the bulbs. So the room and bathroom are always too dark to see other than to walk without tripping on things. Cannot read or put on makeup. And they will not service anything wrong in rooms like missing bulbs or air conditioning remote. The given remotes did not adjust temperature so we had to wake up in the night to turn it on and off for small bit of comfort. Just silly things that they could do to have much better reviews.

Nightmare on el conde!

The front desk gentleman told me upon arrival that the Hotel was full, and that I couldn't have a confirmation from Hotels.com because they don't work with Hotels.com. After showing it to him, he said that the address was for the other Roma and called the supervision who agreed that she need it to see it. After the whole ordeal (it took over an hour) I was offered a different room with a higher rate. There was no controls available for the TV nor the AC. Late at night the other front desk gentleman rudely asked my girlfriend if she was with me (assuming she was "working"). I do not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Enjoyable.

This place was just what I needed. It was quiet and the WiFi was amazing! Couldn't ask for a better time. Right off the main tourist street and the staff is nice. I do not think I could say anything bad about it really. Only complaint I have is the pictures are for Roma II, and not Roma I. But the stay was still good! Had pick up service from airport and no problems while I was there. They speak English so no problems with that. Would go there again.

Hotel location was hard to drive to. Information on post said parking available, not really! On street parking so I parked right across from the hotel door and still my trim was stolen off my car during the night! No one witnessed any of it!
