"Beware of staying in lower levels, this hotel often rents spaces for events and the live extremely loud music started at 3:00 pm and ended at almost 2:00 am. It was unbearable."

"I always stay at the Barcelo in Madrid. So, when I saw that they recently opened in Monterey, I booked a room for 2 nights. However, they took over this hotel in December from another group, and it was not comparable to the Madrid experience. The hotel bar was really bad! However, the breakfast was TOP, and the service from all employees, except 1, was excellent. Apparently, the computer system did not work when I checked in, so I did not have credit. They did not advise me. When they closed the bar they could not close the room charge and called my room at midnight, when I was sleeping. That really destroyed my night! The room 3505 was large and absolutely great. Overall, it was good and acceptable."

"Nothing, Nothing , Nothing. Avoid at all cost. Don’t event book. Worse service, AC Not Working in 3 rooms they gave me. First room sealing was falling off and water leaking everywhere. Checked in at 11pm. And was not able to get a good room till 3pm. Horrible."
