House is beachfront, but unfortunately multiple issues experienced during our stay. Many of which could have been easily avoided with better attention to maintenance and preparation instead of simply turning the property over from one rental to the next. Check-in scheduled for 4 but wasn't ready until after 4:30. After long day of travel and then groceries, it was frustrating to have to wait outside before we could get into the house. We would have much preferred to have access on time vs rushed cleaning and wet floors. Unfortunately, the problems continued throughout the week and I spent excessive amount of time during a vacation on the phone about maintenance. The dryer didn't work, was replaced later the following day, another rental unit, but still didn't work. The issue was the dryer vent at house, which would be a known problem. Other maintenance issues included an ice machine that indicated it needed cleaning, so we weren't comfortable using, microwave stopped heating during our stay, and kitchen cookware was worn and in need of replacement. Biggest concern was exterior bedroom door on 1st floor was broken. Maintenance unable to fix the next day, uncomfortable having children sleep in 2 rooms not secured to outdoors (same balcony). The house itself, layout is just okay. Entire 3rd floor is primary while the other three bedrooms are clustered together on the first floor with garage and laundry. House next door under construction- not pleasant on balcony at times.
