LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This 1947 historic, two-bedroom is exactly that, a 1947 built old school Seagrove Beach cottage. It has been painted and decorated. That’s it. It has the original doors, windows and plumbing. It is a quirky cottage, even the laundry room is located in the garage. The cabinets and appliances were updated in the 80’s – but nothing since then. So, what we are saying here is if you are looking for the new modern beach home, this is not for you. The old look and feel to the structure will touch on all of your senses. If you are looking for the way people used to vacation at the beach, this is for you and Buying Time can’t wait to have you. Can you guess why the owners call it that?!
Downstairs you will find the kitchen, dining area, and living room with a flat screen TV. There is also a bathroom complete with a mudroom perfect for cleaning sandy feet after a long day at the beach. In the afternoon you can open the French doors to the screened-in porch and hear the sound of the waves.
Up the spiral staircase to the second floor, you will find most of the sleeping quarters with three rooms: a queen master, a guest room with 2 full beds, and a bunk nook with a twin bunk bed.

Place was better than advertised and perfect location - walk to shops food and beach. Could be diffiuclt for thise over 70 gicen spiral staircase to access bedrooms but for us no issue whatsoever
My book club took a little beach get away and had the most amazing time. The cottage is super close to the beach so we were able to go back forth very easily. We biked the mile route to Seaside in the mornings for coffee. The cottage is decorated perfectly for a girlfriend getaway and we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Take me back!!
We have vacationed at 30A many times and it never disappoints. This house has an excellent location! Exactly as advertised in listing. Very close to the beach and the square. We had a great stay!
We went with a small family group. The weather didn't cooperate, but the sun porch made for a perfect Plan B picnic spot!

Great location, older cottage
Last minute stay after Christmas with wife and two daughters. Great location, close to beach and short drive/bike ride to Seaside. Older cottage with unique layout. Minimal kitchen stuff for cooking.
Our family of 8 stayed at this property for Spring Break. It was perfect! We had plenty of room for everyone. The screen porch was great for morning coffee and relaxing after a long day at the beach. You are steps away from beach access. Easy trip to restaurants and shopping via bike or golf cart. House is a bit older as advertised, but cutely decorated and clean. Bedrooms are upstairs and accessible by spiral staircase. Might be a problem for those with small children or people with mobility issues. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this house again.
My family and I had an amazing vacation staying at Buying Time. It was the perfect location to the beach and Seaside/Watercolor Restaurants. We went everywhere on the 4 bikes provided. The house itself was very clean and plenty of towels and linens were provided. The only reason we gave 4 stars for cleanliness was because there were a few stains on some of the bedskirts, shower curtain and couch slipcover. With everything being white, I’m sure it’s incredibly difficult to keep all of that clean we just thought the Landlord/Property Manager would want to know about that. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we will be coming back again soon!
The description of the property is very accurate - it's an older cottage that has been updated. It was very comfortable for our family of 5. It is just one house away from a public beach access point, which was very convenient. (Note that there is a tenant in an attached efficiency, with a totally separate entrance. I believe he was only there one night that we were there and it didn't bother us, but this may be an issue for some). The 4 adult bikes that come with the house were a huge plus for us and we rode into Seaside and Watercolor several times. There was even a kid's bike in the garage, so it was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a Publix less than 2 miles away. It was a great trip for us and the area is beautiful!
We loved this house! The location was perfect. The description is accurate- that it is not a luxury accommodation, but being so close to the beach is the greatest luxury in my book. It was so convenient. And the interior is not bad by any means. We all loved the cottage chic decor and the vintage feel of the place. All of the appliances worked well, and there is an outdoor shower that cut down on the amount of sand we tracked in.
The porch was large and lovely to have during an afternoon downpour and for relaxing evenings.
I would warn that this would not be an ideal accommodation for someone with mobility issues. (I care for my elderly mother and she would have had a hard time with the tubs/showers - and climbing the stairs up from the beach.)
But for us- it was perfect! We rode the bikes into Seaside and could easily have walked there as well. I would definitely stay here again!!
The best thing about this property was the location. No biking over to the beach or lugging all your stuff, just grab your towel and book and walk down. It’s so close, you’ll be the envy of everyone coming off the beach. The screened in porch makes a great place to relax after the beach and watch people coming in from the beach and the sun going down. At night, you can hear the ocean. It’s about 1 mile exactly to seaside so you can easily walk to dinner and walk home which is very nice and the kids loved how close they were to all the action.
There’s a big garage to put your bikes in, chairs and to wash your clothes, The inside of the house is decorated very cute, shabby chic. We had 6 teenagers and 2 adults and had plenty of room. It was very comfortable. We had one electrical issue while there and the property manager was on it and fixed it within an hour. I would agree with the description that if you are going to be particular and are looking for a new and perfect property, this is not it. I think there are some things that could be improved from a cleanliness perspective and upkeep, however, the location and price made up for that in my mind.

now have updated the pics...
The check in process was not easy. They told us to submit pics of our licenses right before we arrived and I wish we had been sent that requirement weeks in advance instead of the day before... because I had to do it while we were driving down. Then once we got the code we entered it at the door right by the garage, but eventually learned that code didn't work because there is an additional private residence at the same property. We had no idea this wasn't an independent residence. We were never able to get the garages to open which made unloading suitcases and groceries difficult. Once inside, we thought we were in the wrong place because it wasn't like the pictures we booked. It was cute, but they changed the wallpaper, most of the decorative furnishings were different (different porch decor, painted pieces of furniture different colors, different pillows) the confusing additional residence that took us by surprise made us think we were in the wrong house for a bit. The listing has since updated pics though- The pics posted are now accurate. For people to know- the second bathroom is is a weird location. It is off the the pantry and has a door to the outside. The location of the home was PERFECT though and had us overlooking all the other things. We could walk right across to the beach and it had a great porch to keep all the sandy items outside of the house. Overall, it would be great for a quick trip.

Would I stay here again? No.
Is it ok to stay in? Yes.
Pros: 1) Location – 100 yards from a boardwalk/crossover. 2) The BEST thing about it to me was a garage for the car. 3) The other great thing was the shower power—upstairs—the shower head flow was awesome. 4) The management company communicated very quickly.
Cons: 1) The 2 extra AC units upstairs work but have MOLD in them-- I tried to clean the vents but you can SEE it behind there. 2) We must have seen a cockroach-- huge ones- every night in different places. We did NOT have the doors or windows open. They were INSIDE. Yuck. We also found a lot of spiders and a caterpillar. A menagerie. 3) The screen door was HORRIBLE. It is broken, busted and in TERRIBLE shape. The owners should know that guests use this every day. They should replace it. That is an easy fix. 4) The furniture is pretty nasty. The chairs at the dining room table are not just weathered but peeling off. Some pillows upstairs and downstairs are stained. The table in the bunk bed area has a busted leg. At least 3 of the knobs on the dresser in the master don’t work and you can’t open two of the drawers. 5) The side of the oven door was falling off every time we opened it. The eyes on the stove were not level. 6) The pots and pans need to be replaced. They are not in very good condition. This time with COVID-19 really makes you change your vacation needs. We cooked every night and ate in every night. We did not need a designer kitchen just a nice, clean and usable kitchen. Yes, this house functions and the owners describe it as minimal effort has gone in so this is what you get. Would I stay here again? No.
I cannot express how great my stay was at Buying Time! The description of the property is spot on. I was looking for a stay that reminded me of my childhood days on 30a, that was close to the beach and close to Seaside. This place was it. Morning coffee on the porch listening to the waves and quick bike rides into Seaside for shopping and visits with friends. Love it! And those white fluffly towels.....Great trip and much needed relaxation, fun and family.
Great place, great use of space. The location was perfect, beaches weren't overly crowded as they are on more of the side with all the condos. We couldn't have been happier.
We had a nice stay at this beach cottage, but it was a little more run down than the photos on the website. The covering on the dining room chairs were peeling off for example. However, we enjoyed our stay and it was Prime location just 1 house behind beach front.
The floors were very dirty. Our feet were black from walking on them. Everything else was satisfactory. One suggestion- put a hand rail in the downstairs shower. Those tiles are very slippery when stepping out of shower. We all loved our stay n the bicycles too. Would definitely come back.

Great Vacation!
Great Trip! Old school florida at it's best. Super cute house across from the beach. Cowgirl kitchen and Whiskey Bravo are so close. The bikes made it super easy to get to Seaside for shopping and dining.
