Exceptionally relaxing

While it is a bit far out of town, it is quiet, private and very calming, just what I needed for this vacation. We rented a car which made things very easy! This place is magical and the rooftop is amazing.

First Time in Huatulco

Overall a great space to spend your vacation. Was perfect for our group of 5. Close to the beach but enough privacy when you wanted to enjoy some quiet time listening to the waves. I would rent a car next time for some freedom, very easy to drive from the airport and around town. My only recommendation is the unit could do with some more kitchen amenities such as mixing bowls and cooking sheets, and additional dish towels.

Wonderful view!!

The condo was fully equipped and we throughly enjoyed our arrival dinner, breakfast and lunch that was made for us. Our chef cooked up some great food.

This is the 3rd year we have rented from them and they just keep getting better and better. The staff are all friendly, helpful and provide excellent service, which made our rental experience fantastic! Mildred our property manager was quick to respond and very attentive to all our needs. We love this condo and it's location. Just one tiny note I feel worth mentioning... for guests using the upstairs bedroom, it does not have any closets for hanging clothes or a chest of drawers to unpack your suitcase.

Very nice place

Our favorite thing was the beach at the bottom of the stairs on the property. We saw iguanas and coati, too. The snorkeling around the rocks down there is great. It's not a place to lay out because the beach is rocky but for a refreshing swim and some good snorkeling, it's great. People also visit from the beach next door, so you will see others there. The condo itself was also very nice. Everything was new and there were a few staples, so no need to buy them (sugar, olive oil, salt, etc.) Keep in mind that leaving out crumbs or anything sweet does attract ants, so we did put most things in the refrigerator. Monserrat was our contact and she was lovely and quick to respond. She met us upon check-in and appeared as were we checking out to get the keys and make sure everything was good. The view was amazing and the private roof deck unbelievable. Because it was mid-July, it was a little too hot and humid to spend much time on the roof deck during the day but it was great for star-gazing at night. The only minor drawbacks (which we told Monserrat about) were that the shower in the master bedroom tended to leak water over the floor because there's no divider to block it, so we had to use a lot of towels when we showered to soak up the leakage. And, for some reason, on the last day, the outdoor shower stopped working. The A/C in the master bedroom tended to be a little unreliable and seemed to mostly just want to be a fan. All other A/Cs great! Overall, an amazing stay!

Family vacation of 7

My family and I stayed at the Barlovento property in Huatulco in July 2023. We were immediately amazed by the view when we walked in. If a view is what you are looking for, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. The rooms are large and the air conditioning is great. You truly feel like you are in luxury. The location is private and will require a $60 pesos cab ride each way to get to the nearest town. We really didn’t need too much because we spent most of our days exploring Huatulco. I highly recommend this place.

Family Vacation Huatulco

Overall, our stay was great. The condo is spacious with beautiful views. It’s about a 10 minute drive to the town so make sure to buy groceries/snacks. Access to the beach is a bit of a hike and not easily accessible to individuals with mobility issues. The property host, Monserrat is very responsive and nice. If you book transportation through the condo staff (Joe) make sure you confirm multiple times. They failed to pick us up from the airport and we had a late arrival. Luckily it wasn’t a big deal because there were plenty of taxi. I highly recommend visiting Cascada Mágica.

Fabulous View

This is a very nice condo. The view is spectacular. The living room and front bedroom have floor to ceiling windows and view of the bay below. Playa la Entrega is just below these condos. There are stairs down to the small beach where you can snorkel around a small point and get access to the main beach. The return climb to the condos is significant, but they have added areas where you can stop and enjoy the view on the way up. The condo has a well designed and equipped kitchen, small washer/drier room off the kitchen, and a wonderful upper floor. Most of the upper floor is a covered open air family room with the same view as the lower floor. We ate every meal upstairs. There is also an outdoor shower on this level. It should be noted that the third bedroom and bath are on this upper level. Would definitely recommend this unit.

Every room felt like home and all of the main living spaces felt like luxury! My friends and I are already trying to figure out when we could come back. All of the concierge services were so helpful and needed LOL yes the chef is worth it we were there 7 days and got the chef four of those days... On the other days we had to make ourselves leave so that we can actually explore the city but you could definitely just stay in this house and enjoy the space, the views and hopefully the good company you plan to bring.

The apartment itself is beautiful, well equipped and spacious with an amazing upstairs terrace with bar and barbecue. The chef who came to cook for us made some delicious food and drinks with minimal fuss and in general the whole experience and service provided was so helpful and accommodating. We’re coming back before we fly back to the UK!

Beautiful view and condo - but jacket went missing

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was beautiful with a wonderful view of the bay. The location is in a secluded area, which could either be a pro or con depending on your vacation expectation - definitely need to rent a car or cab for dinner / groceries as there are no grocery or convenience stores within walking distance. With that said cabs are fairly easy to come by so you just need to plan accordingly. Where we ran into issues was the checkout. ~30mins after checkout, I realized I had left my jacket behind while waiting at the airport. Upon realizing this I immediately texted the property manager and gave my address for a shipping quote to have it shipped back to Canada. A short while later she responded saying my jacket was not there. I am 100% certain it was left behind.Recently someone from Huatulco Vacations (the company that owns this property) texted me asking to leave a review. I explained that I hadn't left a review as I was waiting for my jacket to be returned. They said they'd look into it then ghosted me. The property is beautiful - but don't leave anything behind as it will disappear. Company is dishonest.

Worth every penny

This condo has the most amazing views! The staff was super nice, specially Ramiro! He was extremely helpful! Close to the Centro, a $3 dollar taxi drive. The upstairs terrace was the highlight of every sunset!
