Very private top floor modern apartment with two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and two bathrooms (one en-suite). Furnished to the very highest standards with brand-new fittings throughout. Central lounge/dining area with large balcony looking inland to the mountains and a modern kitchen with everything you need for a self-catering stay including free Wi-Fi. Second dining area leads to a completely private sun- terrace set in the traditional red-tiled roof. The apartment is a short walk from the "village" of Garajau, with lots of cafes, restaurants and take-aways. Continue through the village and you end up at the famous statue of Cristo Rei, where you can take a cable car down the pebble beach, where there are more facilities. Host was awesome they were able to accommodate us above and beyond our requests, awesome view from the apartment, safe neighborhood with convenient parking spot inside the garage. They have given us some fruit to try The beds were comfortable, thats always a plus Overall stay was definitely great if we fo back would most definitely stay there again.
Ideal property for exploring Madeira. The property is fully equipped with a patio area as an added bonus. The dedicated parking space is a real asset for those hiring a car. Great communication during the booking and check in phase really helped. Highly recommended.
We were happy with all the conveniences this property offered. With a full kitchen we were able to make some meals for ourselves and pack lunches for our lavada walks. Bus service was very close so no need for a car. Loved the roof to patio, lots of sunshine.

If we are sometimes return to Madeira, this flat will be first thing, which i check it.
We stayed in the apartment for one week. And when we arrived we were so surprised cause it was really more beautiful then on the pictures. The apartment had everything you need for a relaxed stay in a foreign country and we needed to buy nothing cause everything was already there. From salt and pepper to laundry detergent and cooking items. The place was very clean and was prepared lovely - with flowers waiting for us on the tables.

Lovely apartment with terrace that gets full sun and a cooler balcony on the north side. Good Comms with the owners and everything in the flat that we needed. Really comfortable bed and big sofas in the living room.
Good WiFi, although a bit hit and miss on the terrace.
One caveat. It's a noisy area. It's residential so there are people fixing stuff, setting off for work at 6am, a cockerel at 5.30, motorbikes and lots of barking dogs. It was very very warm so we had the doors and windows open all night, so we heard all the noises.
Relaxing holiday on a beautiful island, apartment is great and there's everything around if you want to look after yourself and a numbers of restaurants and Café if you don't.
We fully enjoyed our stay at the apartment, especially the incredible view from the terrace. The apartment is large, comfortable and well equipped. The internet was not very reliable, but it wasn't a big problem for us. Having a parking spot in the garage was a big plus.
It was very complete. Ana Paula was very friendly, her own honey is delicious. Going too Funghal by bus is easy…. If you know which busline… A trip with a 4x4 Jeep is wonderfull, and exciting. They can pick you up at the appartement. Driving with a rental car was too much for me, roads are very narrow and steep.nature is wonderfull!

Fabulous!
Other than being hard to find, everything about the apartment was great. It was remodeled to a high standard, large apartment, great views and deck, intro food, large shower. Great location, walkable restaurants, pharmacy, grocery. Super local neighborhood. Parking garage.
Heads up; Manager did have an add-on cost paid in cash on site. Regardless of amount or reason for this charge, it should be have been included in the VRBO quote or in the contract.
Comfortable, but a shortage of bed linen and then the hot water was very sporadic and just sometimes just a trickle! Also no cushions for sun beds!These things didn’t cause us too much trouble, but thought I’d better mention them Annette
We really enjoyed our stay. The owner, who was very helpful, met us as arranged, showed us around and told us about the local facilities. The apartment has everything one could want, is spacious and is in excellent condition. We liked the large balcony with sea views. It was also very quiet, being at the top of the block.
There is a food shop about 100 metres away which had excellent fruit and vegetables and met all our food needs, and which seemed to have very long opening hours - we never found it closed. There are several restauarants very close by, one with a take away service. There are regular buses to and from Funchal. We used the bus system for three of our days there and hired a car for the other three which made going further afield easier.

Great spot to visit the rest of the island as the main highway was easy to access if you are renting a car
We were out on the road quite a bit exploring various towns and villages and walking many of the wonderful levadas
Bus service into Funchal was very close and easy to use if you didn't want to drive into the city and you can stay here comfortably without a car
There were several restaurants close by that were good
The Ravioli was our go-to place for morning coffee and a tart
We stayed for about one month
In hindsight I would probably have split some of that time between Garagua and Funchal, which we thought was a wonderful city
One negative was the barking dogs in the neighboring hosues, even if that is out of the control of the owners of the apartment
Overall, a nice place to rental

Modern well equipped apartment. Sea view from balcony, near good cafe/restaurants & food stores
Communication with agent was excellent so no problems finding the apartment. Secure locked parking under the building with lift to the apartment. Lovely place to stay, clean, very modern, tastefully, and comfortably furnished. Had all the equipment we needed. A bowl of local grown fruit, cake and biscuits where a nice welcome gift. Ana, the owner, met us with the keys and gave us useful information about the local amenities. Close to reasonably priced restaurants and food stores. Easy drive to lots of places on the island although our 1.2 Corsa struggled a bit with some of the steep hills! It did the job but we will hire something a little more powerful next time! We loved Funchal, new year fireworks were epic! Loved the toboggans and tropical gardens at Monte. Went to the natural swimming pools at Porto Moniz. We braved the 17 degree water and enjoyed our December swim in the Atlantic! The faint hearted might rather do it in the summer!! Nice place though. We also enjoyed the Sky Walk which was free. Would recommend the Central Restaurant in Canico we were only in Medeira a week and we went twice! :)
Die Wohnung liegt in einer Wohngegend, das Meer ist von der Terasse aus in der Ferne zu sehen. Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und die zwei Badezimmer mit ausreichend Handtüchern und Föhn Luxus. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine mit Waschmittel inklusive Wäschegestell. Eine Spülmaschine ist leider nicht vorhanden, dafür liegen Schwamm und Spülmittel bereit. Der Kühlschrank ist groß und hat zudem ein großes Eisfach. Einziger Nachteil sind viele bellende Hunde in der Gegend. Einer davon ist dauerhaft auf einer Terasse alleine, was auffällt, da sie vom Schlafzimmer aus gut zu sehen ist.Die Gastgeber:innen sind bei Fragen immer zu erreichen und antworten bei schriftlichen Anfragen innerhalb weniger Stunden. Ein entscheidender Pluspunkt ist auch ein eigener Parkplatz in einer ausreichend großen Tiefgarage.
