Multi-generational Extended Weekend Stay
This property was perfect for our multi-generational extended weekend stay. It was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. We appreciated the off street parking. We had everything we needed to prepare meals. There were plenty of activities to keep the grandsons entertained. They enjoyed being able to see the lights of the boardwalk from the balcony and then taking the short walk to spend the afternoon there. The layout of the house was perfect with the 2 younger generations sleeping downstairs and we grandparents sleeping upstairs. We were very pleased with this VRBO.

Great Family Place
4 adults and 3 teenagers/children had a wonderful vacation! The house is clean and kitchen/family room is exceptionally nice for large families. Was initially concerned that neighborhood was a little sketchy but it was perfect in terms of proximity to boardwalk and beach and we had no trouble at all. Thank you, Bailey’s!

Just what we needed
This is a spacious, clean, and comfortable home that fit our needs. Great views of the boardwalk and a short walk to it. Beats paying $30 for parking. Nice quiet neighborhood. There is PLENTY of room in this home. Large kitchen and lots of seating in the TV room. The only mistake we made was we were so busy we were only there to sleep. I wish I had more "downtime" to relax in this home, but there's always next time :)

Perfect family vacation home
We had the pleasure of staying here for a week and really enjoyed this home. It has a large open living area. Lots of comfy seating. Lots of games and books. Feels homey. The large kitchen has a new fridge and all the serve ware you'll need. The upstairs deck is awesome with a view of he boardwalk and river. The back yard is lovely. Location is good. I would definitely come back here.

Sweet little cottage
My family and i had a wonderful time hangout out this sweet cottage in Santa Cruz. Its the perfect distance from the boardwalk so you can get there without driving. But far enough away so you dont have to hear the rides going all night. The house is very clean and stocked with lots of kitchen amenities to use. There is also lots of extras in the grage to use at the beach so you dont have to bring or buy stuff if you have forgotten it. We loved this house!!

Nice home for 6 people
Nice home close to the Boardwalk. Very spacious and clean. Kitchen is fabulous. Only issue was the bunk bed in the downstairs bedroom, it needs repaired as the bottom bed is broken and very squeaky.

Great price for the location
The property was clean and well stocked, a great location, being walking distance from the boardwalk. The only downside to this property was hot horrible the beds were. All the mattresses felt like they were about 50 years old, which made for pretty poor sleep. I probably wouldn’t stay here again for that reason, but would if the mattresses were updated!

the neighborhood was very peaceful, property was clean the refrigerator was being replaced we was notified just before checking in but they had a backup in the garage. The property management was great easy check-in easy directions and was really close to the boardwalk and other excursions. Would rent again.

It was a beautiful little place the only downside was the bottom bunk mattress. It was more a piece of plywood than a mattress but other than that it was an amazing vacation.

My son’s 18th birthday
We celebrated my son’s birthday with some of his friends in Santa Cruz at this house. The location was great. The rain kept them from going to the boardwalk but the bikes at the house kept them entertained. No small feat for 18 year olds. There was plenty of room for them downstairs. The house is older but in comparison to Santa Cruz homes it is very nice. Also very clean. This is also my second experience with the rental company, Bailey Property Management. They are very professional and run a smooth operation.

Excellent get away near the boardwalk
The house has everything you need for a large group vacation. It was professionally clean and put together upon arrival. We were not able to use the bicycles in the garage, but there are enough for 8 or more riders. Plus points for the ping pong table! The backyard is cute and was a great place for us to hangout when it wasn't raining. We stayed in most of the weekend due to heavy rain and had a great time cooking and entertaining ourselves using the many amenities the house had. We did go out for a bit during a lull in the rain for a walk across the railroad bridge and down the San Lorenzo Trail. Good location. Our neighbors were very friendly and we had a good introduction with them when we checked in. Lastly, Lisa (the property manager) was always there when we needed her for any questions or concerns. She was very communicative and it was easy to contact her, despite difficulties from the recent storms and flooding in parts of Santa Cruz County. Thanks for the great stay. We will be back.

Nice home, very poor mattresses
Nice home, very poor mattresses The property manager was great, the house was clean, bright, well equipped in terms of the kitchen and the location was good close to downtown Santa Cruz and also close to the boardwalk and the ocean. Unfortunately the mattresses were very poor. In two bedrooms the mattresses were very soft. Iin the third bedroom the mattress in the bunkbed was hardly a mattress at all and the bunkbed itself at least the upper part was not accessible to anyone other than a mountain goat. Pony up some money for decent mattresses and you got a five star VRBO

Lots Of Toys!
What we liked: There were about 8 bikes in the garage for our use. And the bike path is just down the street. There’s also ping pong and Bocci and tons of beach stuff to use. You don’t need to pack a lot except beach towels. What we didn’t like: The upstairs bathroom sink drains too slowly. And the internet was not available although we tried to get help from the manager. Otherwise, we loved this spacious, clean home!

Fun time, some things we wish we knew
The house was clean but needed some things replaced/ updated. The bunk bed slants down on the bottom and it super creaky, the upstairs floor lamp is broken and one of the cabinets came off the hinges. The management however was very quick to reply after hours and did offer to repair things right away if needed. I wish we knew that there was no AC and about 1/2 the time that we opened the windows the smell of pot filled the house from the neighbors. The park that you can ride your bike to was full of homeless so we could not take the kids to play there. This isn’t the fault of the homeowners at all, but good to be aware of if you are bringing kids.

If you're looking for a place to stay so near The Santa Cruz Boardwalk, this is your place. The home is spacious and has a large kitchen. Lots of bikes in the garage for easy cruising around the area. Property manager and owner were very responsive to our calls and questions.

Short but sweet.
We like the home and everything was a promoted. Very nice to have bikes provided as the location lends itself to exploring the Boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz. A couple improvements: Better communication needed from property manager as a drawer and towel rack but came loose with no abuse what so ever. I emailed the non-urgent issues but no response provided. Many home rentals provide nice touches for guests such as coffee for the machines and yes, down a slippery slope but it would be a nice touch! Never even used the kitchen...was too busy with the wedding.

We loved the house. It was well stocked and clean. The location was excellent for us as we could walk to beach and drive to Delaveaga disc golf course. The driveway is very small and might only fit a Mini Cooper. So prepare to park on street.

Very nice place
we rented this house for a work event and it serve the purpose beautifully. Lots of space, clean, well cared for, and I’ll kinds of fun things in the garage to play with. We would stay here again definitely. One area that could be improved was the bunkbed in the downstairs bedroom. Definitely more for small folks or lightweight folks. As an adult sleeping on the lower bunk, it was very uncomfortable. Overall, there are several other wonderful beds in the house though so this is not really an issue if you’re just gonna have kiddos in that room.

My family enjoyed staying at this home. The home was clean and well maintained. The location was very close to the boardwalk and the home offered great amenities to enjoy going to the beach to staying at the house and playing ping-pong and foosball. Unfortunately, our main day to be there was overshadowed with the tsunami warnings and advisory. We still had fun hanging out at the house. One thing I wish I knew was that the kitchen is located on the second story main floor. It just made for multiple trip up the stairs.

Perfect Thanksgiving Get Away
We loved the location. So close to bike trails, the beach, and restaurants. The house was clean and large enough for all of us. The kitchen was perfect for our thanksgiving meal and had plenty of utensils and pans to cook with . We brought our own pie plates even though their was one there. The bikes were great and we had a lot of fun with the ping pong table. Parking was not an issue for us. It was a very nice house

Perfect Location
This property is close the the boardwalk, downtown, bike path and beach. We rode bikes or walked everywhere and never got in our car once until it was time to leave. The property is well maintained and has everything you need including: bikes, beach chairs & umbrellas and boogie boards. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay
Our experience was great here. The neighborhood was perfect location. We barbecued on deck and chatted in the mornings over coffee. The house was very specious. Few small things to keep in mind. Beds aren’t the most comfortable. Backyard can’t really be used . Upstairs shower and sink need some work on the plumbing. Lastly there is no parking. Street parking only if you get lucky and we did. Other than that it was nicely cleaned the walk to the boardwalk was great. Look forward to coming back to this house we loved it.

Tons of entertainment in the house for kids. Good location for proximity to park/playground, beaches, downtown, boardwalk and bike trails. Nicely update kitchen and batharooms. Definitely not room to park 2 cars in the driveway! Do not be fooled by the photo. There is no way to nose into the driveway without blocking the sidewalk. Maybe a mini cooper could fit? But there is street parking or we parallel parked in front of the garage and driveway.

would not stay here again
we ended up with bug bites on our legs. suspicious for bed bugs. the mgmt company is looking into this and getting the house treated. but this has created tons of grief for my wife at home, as we are trying to get everything treated so it doesn't set up shop in our home. parking is horrible as well. constantly fighting with the neighbors for a spot in front of the house. the driveway will not accommodate a minivan w/o blocking the sidewalk. furniture is aged. needs replacing. wifi works fine. location is good, as it's a close walk to boardwalk and beach.

Fun place to stay!
We had a great time here celebrating my son's 18th birthday. It was great that the kids could have their own area downstairs to hang out (the garage, with a couch, ping pong, etc) and a pretty quick walk to the beach. The kitchen was great for making and serving dinner to all of them, although I would agree with an earlier review that the pots and pans need updating. There are no big pots at all so I was super glad we brought our pasta pot! We LOVED having bikes to ride around, that is a great perk. I only have one complaint about the weekend - 10 am seems an unusually early checkout time. Just felt like it cut the weekend in half!

Nice clean home in prime walking distance from boardwalk
The house was very clean and the location was great! The only suggestion might be to have a few fans around in case of those unexpected hot days like what we had! The air conditioning was not really helpful - could have used some fans to circulate the air. We got a lot of use out of the deck and BBQ. Parking is a little right but 2 small cars would work. Overall I would stay here again just based on cleanliness and location!

Getaway house was perfect
The house is three bedrooms and very comfortable with a nice deck for dining outside. The view of the bike path and boardwalk beyond is inviting and fun for our family. Plenty of bikes to choose from in the garage so we all brought helmets and enjoyed the paths along the river. The TV situation is confusing and didn't offer much but we aren't big tv people. Just wanted to watch the SpaceX landing of the spacemen and were able to find that. Bring your own movies as there is a DVD player. Improvements that could be nice: mow the weeds in back for a more inviting space. Pots and pans are beat up and in poor condition, typical rental stuff. A supply of kitchen drying towels would be helpful. The kitchen faucet is wobbly and needs to be given some attention or it drips. In a drought, that's not so good. All in all, the home was perfect for our family fun with books and games galore. Our 7 and 3 year old grands always had something to look at or play with. We are grateful to the owners for allowing folks to use their getaway home in summer when the cooler temps in Santa Cruz are a welcome relief from So Cal heat!

The owner of this house did an amazing job stocking it with everything you need (full kitchen, books, games, DVD’s, beach chairs, bikes, extra pillows, etc.). Excellent location within walking distance to the boardwalk. Loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the fresh sea air. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Having 3 tv’s with Directv was useful. The kids loved having a “secret” space and the foosball & table tennis in the garage was super fun! The only con was parking. It’s a one way street and parking is tight, but we always managed to find a spot. We would definitely come back here! 😊

The bathrooms and kitchen were clean and updated. (One of the two especially nice). The kitchen was modern, updated and very well stocked. The beach toys, bikes, chairs etc was an added bonus. I would recommend replacing the carpet. Overall, our experience was very good staying at the property.

Great location. Great property. I read earlier reviews which helped me in my planning so I'm adding things that we discovered. 1) Only kids should sleep on the bunk beds. The bottom mattress is more of a futon has a deep crevasse in the middle. Probably should be replaced. The top bunk isn't easy to get onto for an adult. 2) Bring a carrot/potato peeler. 3) Bring shampoo and soap. 4) Don't expect fast wifi. Overall, the property is great. We would rent again. A 10 minute walk to the Boardwalk. We also walked to the Saturday Farmers Market. Most everything is walkable if you like to walk. The bikes were great. We biked to Capitola and the bikes had full tires, maintained well. Property management company was responsive and helpful.

Good location. Enjoyed the ping pong table and foosball.
Our biggest issue was the slow internet connection. I was planning to do some work during my vacation which the slow internet speed made very difficult. The kitchen had most of the dishes that we needed . It is about a mile to the beach which was nice. The property has about 8 bikes which we used a couple of times. They are low end bikes. Recommendations to the owner: It is time to retire the two lazy chairs upstairs. The inside garage door does not close properly. The upstairs carpet does not have a lot of life left in it.

This is the first time I have been informed that the internet provided by AT&T is slow. It is possible that AT&T was having some issues. We have working bikes for men, women, and children. Most have gears and are working fine. Some bikes are newer and some older, and all of them work and ride well. We felt it would be extra nice to have bikes and helmets available for our guests. The carpets do not have tears or worn patches, and are professionally cleaned twice a year; I will check to evaluate what is mentioned. Thanks for letting me know that I need toI do maintenance on the inside garage door, as well as check the living room leather, recliner chairs.

We would definitly book this home again. It was all that the pictures showed. Well stocked, clean, all you would need and more. And the best thing was that we could walk to the Boardwalk. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk but you'll beat the cars for sure. Thanks for sharing your home! The Goodman's

Had a great week. Great location for the board walk. Fun games stocked as well as games in the garage. Back yard was overgrown and unusable. And lots of lightbulbs are burnt out in the house. Security cameras are in place, even in the garage. Ant traps were everywhere. Property management was very responsive. Great updates to the house, nice kitchen and fresh carpet. Fun for kids. Bring your bike lock so you can take the bikes to the board walk. I’d stay there again and recommend to a friend.

This house worked out great for my grandson's graduation from UCSC. Great location (except for parking) and wonderful living room/dining room/kitchen area with nice upstairs patio, Bring your own hair dryer; I had to go out and buy one since I didn't bring my own. They could use a 10 inch frying pan as well.

My husband and I and three grandkids recently stayed in your rental. It was close to the Boardwalk and downtown. We had so much fun that we booked again for next year. Clean, quiet, great kitchen, plenty of room for 6 people.
