Good Home, Bad Manager
My first problem came about when I did not initially see the cleaning fee in the description. I do not mind paying the cleaning fee, but the message Thomas sent me in the welcome message and the amount listed on the site were different. The discontinuity and mark-up in the message was not appreciated. Furthermore, upon arrival the apartment was not clean—there was sand on the floor, blankets were unfolded, and there was a tear in the duvet cover. This was all noted after waiting over an hour for Thomas to check us in.
Thomas had asked us for our arrival time the day before, to which we had stated we would arrive at 15:00. He never replied to our message. After messaging we were there and excited to check-in twice, we finally called. We informed him that we were outside the restaurant downstairs and felt that our problem had alas been resolved. It took us calling Thomas a second time for him to actually find us and let us in. Thomas never apologized for his tardiness and blamed us for being around the corner even though we had messaged him our location and told him over the phone. In addition, the location on the app was, in fact, not the location he met us at.
We enjoyed our overall stay, but wish Thomas would have been more responsive as the delay in checking in cost us close to two hours of our short vacation.
