Enjoyed a nice long weekend with my spouse, best friends and our two dogs. We had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet, peaceful and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!
We loved this little cottage! We planned a visit to go to Cedar Point and other local attractions, and this was a great location. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog, and she loved taking walks to the beach and park. Everything was clean and looked just like the pictures. The kitchen was well appointed with plates, cutlery, pots, etc. there were extra towels and blankets in closets and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!
As with the Movie by this name it was a time to connect with family in the area to celebrate the holidays. Unlike the movie there were no problems.
We enjoyed the Lake House for its comfortable bedrooms and well-appointed bathrooms. Each bedroom was equipped with a smart TV allowing each family member a personal choice. The kitchen was spacious enough for family meals and preparation of gingerbread houses for an offsite decorating activity with cousins. We initially booked the house for a larger family group but due to illness only 4 of us stayed. We thought it was just right for the four of us! We easily shuttled to various locations to visit extended family while maintaining a sense of privacy to unwind between visits.
We enjoyed the neighborhood for a nice walk with the dog to Rye Beach. Although most of the beach area was closed for the winter, we could imagine the summer here.
One word of caution to off season renters- the thermostat is turned to 60 degrees between renters. Upon arrival, schedule an hour away from the house, while the heat pump adjusts the temperature. If like me, you didn't- look in the closet for an array of quilts and blankets.
**** My grandson loved his bed. Would the host share information on the double beds in the upstairs bedroom?
Great place. Lots of comfy places to sit. Perfect setup for a family vacation with 1 bedroom and bath on the first floor and 2 bedrooms and another bath upstairs.
The property was much more than we expected. It was well-equipped and extremely clean. It's in a great location and we'd definitely recommend a stay here!
We used this propery to go back and forth to Cedar Point. It was a close location and the property was clean. The beds were comfortable. I thought it could have used better sheets and towels. The pictures were accurate but the property was a little more used than shown in the pictures. The neighborhood was not as quaint and beachy as other neighborhoods we have stayed in the area but we were not there long enough and did not use the lake access. Overall it was a good property for good value. I would stay there again.
Very well maintained, excellent amenities, and very near Cedar Point. Birthday grandsons had a great time. Would recommend to family and friends and would rent again if coming to the area.
Quaint town right on Lake Erie. This nicely remodeled house was very clean and located in a quiet, relaxed neighborhood just a couple of short blocks from the lake. We stayed only one night, but will return if we are back in the area!
We loved the quick trip to and from Cedar Point. This was perfect for our family with three teens. The kitchen was very well-stocked. It felt very homey and was beautifully decorated. Clean and very comfortable. A great stay!

Cozy and comfortable and good location
Overall a pleasant experience. The outdoor furniture needed a cleaning and the kitchen was sparsely furnished-Could use an update.
Stayed at the house two families, 4 adults, 4 kids. House was clean and had everything we needed. Check in was super easy. Beds we’re comfortable! Great location just 5 or 10 minutes to everything.
After leaving Cedar Point, the drive to the house is literally 10 minutes away and it’s such a beautiful scenery. The property is gorgeous. The theme of the house is Lake Erie. We had nine guest and everyone slept comfortably. The owner had great communication the whole time. This was our home away from home. The price was reasonable considering all the hotels around cedar point are over price. This will be our new get away for a Cedar Point trips
Had a fun weekend at Cedar Point and Put-in-Bay (with a little golf squeezed in for my husband!) House was nicely decorated and just as pictured. Upstairs bedrooms were a bit warm and neighborhood wasn't as nice as we thought but you can't beat the location. Super convenient! All-in-all ... it worked out fantastic for a long weekend with our 2 young adult children and 2 friends.
We had a fantastic time staying here at this home. The home is beautifully decorated. You can tell that they took a lot of care in making the home very comfortable! Everything we needed was there! The bed was very comfortable. Has a wonderful deck in the back and a very nice fire pit in the nice backyard that we enjoyed in the evening. The home was cleaned perfectly . It is in a very sweet neighborhood that you can walk to the lake and has a really nice park along the lake which has a wonderful area for children to play in. Next time we come we will bring our grandchildren! My husband and I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! We found that the home is also pet friendly and we will definitely bring our dog next time!
Stayed at this house for 4 nights for my son's baseball tournament. On the last night of our stay, Saturday, at about 11pm, while we were in starting to get ready for bed, we heard the keypad on the front door beeping and then a strange man came into the house. My husband asked him what he was doing he said he had rented the house for the night. My husband told him he was mistaken and the stranger left. I double checked our reservation and we had it booked until Sunday. I sent a msg to Jimmy, the owner, and he told me that the man had his dates confused and was set to check in tomorrow (Sunday). Jimmy suggested we change the code on the front door to keep someone else from entering. This requires a screwdriver which we did not have so we had to wedge a chair under the door handle and my husband stayed on the coach all night in case anyone else who knew the code decided to come in. As you can imagine this was very unsettling, my son wanted to sleep with one of his baseball bats, none of us got much sleep that night.
The house was perfect for our family/friends getaway. With three bedrooms, and a pull out couch, we were able to comfortably sleep our crew of seven. It was great having two full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The back deck had a table and chairs. The back deck was lovely to sit out on for morning coffee.
It was also nice to have a full kitchen, even though most of our meals were eaten outside of the house.
The drive to Cedar point was about 15 minutes which was great. I do recommend people going into Sandusky (Kroger or Aldi) for groceries instead of the local grocery store as choices are very limited, and prices are shockingly high.
We’d love the idea of the option to bring our dogs. We did not do so, but if we ever come back will definitely consider.
The neighborhood was not what I expected, but all neighbors we talked to were friendly. The house is super cute and decorated nicely. The beds were comfortable, which was really appreciated.
There seemed to be a lot of bugs and spiders in the house, so maybe a good spray is in order, but we managed OK. It just freaked out one of our kids.
The location of the home in the rye beach neighborhood lead us to walk towards a yacht club, which offered a lot of political views with signs that were pretty offensive, regardless of your political views. That was not a great way to enjoy our first neighborhood walk.
Overall, a fantastic stay, and the location was great for day trips to cedar point.
