Absolutely wonderful stay! The kitchen was well equipped, sleeping arrangements were perfect, comfy linens and towels…I was very impressed with the quality of everything and loved the outdoor deck and fire pit areas. The views are incredible and so many stars at night!
My 2 sisters and I are in our early 70’s. After doing the Bridge Walk we wanted to spend the night somewhere unique and that is exactly what the Skoolies are. Very clean, modern and more spacious than you would expect in a school bus. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well supplied, overall very nice. Only downside for us was outdoor spray showers with no enclosure (we washed off in bathroom sink). But would definitely stay again if occasion arises! Big thank you to Omar and Julie!
This was perfect for what we needed. We went to a concert in Lewisburg, and didn't want to drive all the way home afterwards. The setup is super cute inside and out. The beds were comfy. We were even thinking of coming back with the rest of our family another time. Note: no showers.
– Unique & Memorable Stay in the MountainsWe had such a memorable trip here! The kitchen was great to cook in, the two AC units (front and back) kept us cool, and the back bedroom was super comfy. I slept great and felt safe the whole time. There are definitely some quirks to be aware of:The patio curtain wasn’t installed quite right — we adjusted it ourselves, but it was still nice to sip my morning coffee out there. There’s no indoor shower — we brought our own shower tent, which ended up being magical to use under the moonlight, but you’ll need to plan ahead if you want that option. The key lockbox was a little tricky, and locking the bus took a minute to figure out.Parking was tight and close to another bus, so maneuvering felt a bit intrusive.Bring your own coffee, condiments, and extras – amenities were pretty minimal (though a flyswatter, air freshener, and maybe some scent plugs inside would be a nice touch).Curtains or blinds would make it feel more private. We couldn’t figure out the TV mount (it’s a remote system). That said, the location and experience were unforgettable. We drove up through gorgeous scenery, reconnected with family, and even saw a bear! This is a place for travelers who embrace adventure and don’t mind a few quirks in exchange for a unique stay.
