The house has beautiful views of Lake Pend Oreille and is conveniently located to the lifts and Schweitzer Village. Unfortunately we were unable to fully enjoy the house because of the frigid temperature. We were unable to turn on the fireplace and the space heaters and "central" air system were not sufficient to keep us warm. Our local contact was helpful and friendly, but it wasn't enough to make our stay fully enjoyable.

Log cabin in the mountains experience
Great location and lovely cabin. Enjoyed the sunrises in the morning and the jacuzzi at night!
Great stay with college age kids home for holidays
The house was perfect for our family and had a great view. The skiing was not great but we had a great time at the house playing games and using the hot tub.

Epic mountain cabin
Perfect location. Private yet short walk to Schweitzer village. Even has a good view of the lake. Loved the fall colors! Clean and well stocked. Hot tub was a nice bonus since it actually snowed a bit! Hope to come back this winter to get some turns in!
This is my second stay here and could not say enough good things. It is a lovely, rustic ski cabin/house that is a minute from the slopes and has a lovely view with a hot tub. The owner has always been lovely and easy to communicate with. Not sure why there are some reviews that say it wasn't clean enough. We have never had a single complaint! I plan on staying again next year.
We were there for my daughter’s wedding. The cabin was beautiful. It has everything you would need. There was a lot of room and very comfortable. The best part was coffee every morning with the local deer! They walked up to the fire pit near the balcony and would stand there and stay while we had coffee and breakfast!

Beautiful Cabin and experience
Overall we had a wonderful time. The only issue we had was finding the property itself,
nothing on the road gave us a clear indication we were in the right place. Took us almost an hour to find the place. And we called for assistance we were not given clear instructions. But the Cabin was spacious and beautiful and exactly what my family needed for a peaceful getaway away from our fairly busy lives.
This is fairly nice place to stay. We liked the location, the amount of space and it was generally nice. However, we felt like price we paid was a bit premium for the lackluster service provided by vacasa. For example, we were only provided 2 dishwasher packs for 5 days and were told vacasa is not a hotel by their service and we had to buy our own. We also informed vacasa of a slow leak from the top shower down into the bunk room and they told us to simply put a towel in the bunk room before it could get fixed.
Overall, we had a great experience at the mountain and will come back again but will try a different location.
Regret Booking re: Previous Reviews Were A Red Flag
Experience Fantastic. Accommodations dirty and uncomfortable. Location is perfect for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately the cabin was extremely dirty. We camp outdoors during the summer so are used to dust and bugs. We did not expect multiple spiders. Yes, it’s the mountains but never had this experience with other Schweitzer rentals. The cabin is beautiful in general—only our group’s opinion that it needs a deep cleaning. Dusty logs throughout. Condensation discoloration on loft bathroom walls. Easily wiped off with a wet cloth (checked an area near the light switch.) We chose not to bring our dog. To our surprise, dog poo on patio with the barbecue — noticed immediately upon arrival because we were barbecuing for dinner. Another cleanliness issue. Everyone complained that the beds are miserably uncomfortable. Cannot have an adult on upper bunk. Sags with weak supports under upper bunk mattress. Didn’t use the hot tub. Received a call on our way that crew had emptied out and refilled water and chemicals. Didn’t heat up until Saturday evening. Bummer. Also contacted Vacasa prior to arrival about previous reviews about the heat (uncomfortably hot in loft and freezing in basement) and the lack of hot water for showers.) We were guided to spread showers out, which we did. Max 3-4 minutes of hot water before freezing. Frustrating for cold skiers. Two showers total over the weekend for 6 of us. Loft was miserably hot for sleeping. We were expecting heat comfortable throughout sinc
Authentic log cabin on the hill looking down upon Lake Pend Orielle. Cozy and intimate. Great location to the Schweitzer slopes, a little bit of a drive (20+ mins) to get down to Sandpoint. Flooring was a little warped in spots, but overall a great stay. Would stay again.
Great cabin on Schweitzer, clean, had everything you would need for your stay. Easy check in/out - good communication with Vacasa before check in. Highly recommend for a couple or small family for a vacation in SP.

Nice view
House had a great view of the lake. House was not the cleanest and the hot tub bleached our swimsuits.
Great space, great location, great views! Mostly figured out the fireplace situation from other guest reviews- would be helpful to include information about this during check in. Bit of a tight squeeze getting a car into the garage in the winter with the snow piled up, otherwise great experience!

Good experience
It was a great cabin experience. We enjoyed our stay there. After booking with VRBO I realized they are booking via Vacasa. I would recommend booking it from Vacasa to save VRBO platform fees.
The cabin was nestled in the mountains in Schweitzer. It had all amenities but the one that was unexpected was they provided coffee machine but do not provide coffee grounds or filters. So carry them with you if you plan to brew your coffee.

Great mountain stay
The only things we would say negative are that we couldn’t find any garlic (otherwise stocked well) and the dishwasher took two cycles to wash, otherwise the soap was still everywhere at the end of one cycle.
And the washing machine took two attempts to start it every time. If you start and walk away it would shut off initially.
Otherwise it was great. Hot tub was clean and piping hot, house was clean, setting amazing, would go back.
Oh! And can’t do two showers at once cause water heater was set to “prioritize” one over the other. No biggie, but was quite the icy cold a shock that we weren’t expecting, lol.
