The hotel is in a great location, right on the waterfront and there is no shortage of eating places nearby. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The extractor fan from the hotel kitchen made the rooms at the front somewhat noisy in the morning and evening. Breakfast was very good.

A lovely little hotel in a great location on the waterside with loads of food and drink options nearby. Definitely get a room with a view of the water.

A nice seaside gem!

This is a little gem on the seaside walk. Terrific breakfast and the staff were amazing. Also the quirky music collections were a nice added touch. The beds are a bit firm and it’s not a luxury hotel but the price reflects it. I would stay here again!

Nice enough room, great location and excellent staff, comfy bed, only issue was a bad smell that came from the drains, the staff were quick to spray the drains for us but it only temporarily masked the smell. Didn’t affect our stay massively but would have been nice to not have an odour. Would still recommend for a short stay in sandakan!

Basic but fine

Basic accomodation - served its purpose. We thought there was a problem with the air conditioning, and they responded quickly and thankfully the remote simply needed new batteries. There was some nearby music/street noise at around 9pm that would have been disruptive, but it did not go too late. Location is handy. Love the memorabilia!!!

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The rooms were basic, but comfortable. There was entertainment going on outside and it sounded like the person singing was in our room. The structure didn't block outside nose very well.

Hotel Review I recently stayed at Elopura Hotel and had a mixed experience. Despite being only three years old, the hotel looked quite dated and did not match the vibrant pictures shown online. The facilities, including the gym and furniture, appeared to be poorly maintained, which was disappointing. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortably hard, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. It's also important to note that parking is not guaranteed at this hotel, which can be a hassle for guests with cars. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and accommodating, which added a nice touch to my stay. The highlight for me was the stunning sunrise view in the morning - it was truly breathtaking. If you're not particularly interested in visiting the nearby wet market, I would recommend considering other areas, as there are many convenient options available for those with a car. Overall, I would suggest looking for other accommodations if you're seeking a more modern and comfortable experience.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was very big and clean. Breakfast has plenty of choice. Location is excellent - right by the waterfront and everything you need right on the door step.

Good accommodation in Sandakan covering all necessities. Sandakan doesn’t have a lot to offer tourists other than being a stopping off hub but this hotel caters well to the needs of travellers and has everything you need for a comfortable stay
