Large enough for a big family or just a couples getaway. Direct access to the lake provides for kayaking and camp fires at night. Grab some coffee and walk outside the back door and drop in your fishing pole.
As you drive up to the Splendid Sanctuary, the weight of your day begins to fall away. The vision reveals a tranquil lake nested up close to the backyard of our spacious home. At nighttime, the moonpath illuminates on the lake, inviting you to a nighttime kayaking adventure.

The lake is beautiful in every season. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while watching the bald eagles teach their young to fish or a family of deer gathering by the shoreline.
Live music from the baby grand piano floats through the air as tunes are crafted with each stroke of the keys. And others are gathered around the fireplace with warm cups of coffee and hot chocolate regaling the day’s adventures and life’s treasured stories.
With indoor relaxation and outdoor access to the lake and 18 minutes to downtown Tulsa and the Gathering Place, you will have the perfect house for a fun-filled vacation!

Guest access
Guests have full access to the 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bath and property.
Areas that are not accessible are locked and should not be opened - this includes the garage which is locked and inaccessible. There is ample room for parking available.

Bedroom 1: (Sleeps 2) King size bed, fireplace, view of the lake and spacious master bath with jacuzzi tub - upstairs

Bedroom 2: (Sleeps 2) Queen size bed, includes a TV - upstairs

Bedroom 3: (Sleeps 2) Queen size bed, Full bath and view of the lake, private entrance available - upstairs

Alcove: (Sleeps 2) The spacious couch in the tucked away alcove can convert to a Queen size bed with easy access to a Jack and Jill bathroom.

Office: (Sleeps 2) This room can hold a queen size air mattress and the doors can close for extra privacy. Easy access to a half bath downstairs.

Boasting unobstructed views of Shell Lake, this 3,200 square foot home offers wonderful accommodations to rest and unwind in a serene environment. Every back window of the house provides a splendid view. And if you can’t resist the pull of the lake, head outside and enjoy the lake views from the back deck or stroll to the shoreline and dip your toes in.

On rainy days, you’ll find no better place to nestle in and enjoy movies and music in the living area. With a large comfortable couch, TV and baby grand piano. This room is setup for family fun and memories. Leading freely from the living area, the fully equipped kitchen has everything necessary to whip up all your favorite recipes.

3.5 Bathrooms for your convenience. You will find basic hygiene essentials readily available for your worry-free stay.
Master Bathroom: Relax and unwind in the master bathroom’s spacious jacuzzi tub which overlooks the lake.
Jack and Jill Bathroom: An arrangement that allows for more mirrors and sink flexibility.
Suite Bathroom: Private full bathroom nestled inside the back Bedroom 3.

Outside Deck and Patio
• Fire up the grill for delicious cookouts.
• Unwind in our cozy seating areas on the deck, under the Magic Tree, or at the shoreline firepit.
• Make smores at the fire pit on the shoreline of Shell Lake.
• Embark on your kayaking adventure at the rise of the sun or down the moonpath at night.
• Spend some time observing the waterfront wildlife in their natural habitat.

Permits: A permit is required for fishing and motor boating – but not for kayaking.
Permit cost: $2 per person or $6 per boat, for daily permits.
Anglers: Anglers between 16 and 65 must have a valid Oklahoma fishing license.
Depth: 47.2 ft
Surface area: 573 acres
If you decide to enter the lake on the shoreline behind my house, you must wear lake or water shoes. Since this is a fishing lake, there are many broken fishing hooks in the bottom of the lake and without shoes, these can get attached to your feet.
Activities on the lake are at your own risk. I am not liable for accidents or injuries related to any kind of lake activity – including kayaking.

EVENTS: This property is a perfect backdrop for a small wedding. The 100+ year old Japanese Elm provides an enormous canopy with the lake in the background adding serenity and beauty.
