"We stayed for two days in this lovely place Sand in Taufers. Its pretty small place, just some bars and restaurants are available but you're so close to the mountains so it was perfect for our hiking trip. The hotel itself looks on the webpage pretty cool and totally new. We booked a superior suite (€ 460 for two nights) and honestly we were more than disappointed regarding the room. Siamo andati subito in spa dopo una giornata di sci, SPA molto piacevole e calda, peccato per l’idromassaggio che era guasto. "Pros: Perfekte Lage, am Ortsrand, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß ins Zentrum. Supermärkte, Bäcker, Metzger, alles gut erreichbar. Der Vermieter sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Sauberkeit der Wohnung. Wir sind sehr oft in Ferienwohnungen und hatten noch nie eine so perfekt geputzte Wohnung."

"Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money equation. "
