Independent in San Simeon

"The computer system went down and staff did not seem to have a backup plan. They implied there was a free glass of wine to compensate for the inconvenience. But it was the tasting put on by a local winery and if you wanted something different from their single offering we had to pay. The bar was understaffed and the waiting area was too loud and uncomfortable. "

"Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and location is great. We were able to take a 10 min walk into the town square. They also had a chargepoint on site so i was able to charge overnight. They had a cool backyard lounge area with fire pit and a continental breakfast that was good if you were in a hurry to get on with your day or travels. The one con is for how large the hotel was, only one elevator for visitors and staff which was suprising given how new the hotel was. Recommend asking for a second floor room so you can take the stairs out if able to. Overall I would stay here again if I needed a hotel in Paso for an economic price. "

"Amazing ocean views. Property is incredible and captures perfectly the Big Sur vibe. Coffee shop and Bakery on site is a nice bonus. Take the trail down to the water. Stero but worth it. Incredible sunsets. A must on your route 1 journey. "
