This place provided a very decent double room with private bathroom considering the price. During the week then beer terrace and downstairs taproom are closed, which seems a bit counterintuitive for something advertised as a "beer hotel". The location is very close to a metro station but quite a rough street, certainly late at night. Ultimately cannot complain given the price.

The room was cleaned daily. Clean towels, bar soap, toilet paper were left on a daily basis. We just had problems with knobs turning the water off and on in the wash basin. The knobs were very tight. (hard to turn). If you held the flush knob too long the water would come out of the bottom of the toilet bowl. Otherwise the room was adequate and very quiet. You could choose to have coffee and bread for breakfast instead of a full breakfast for a less price and was good if you are in a hurry. The ladies that cleaned the room were very polite and helpful.

Great hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The location was convenient, and everything was well maintained. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again.

My son and I had an incredible stay at Casa Izel. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, cared for, and at home. The service was truly beyond what we expected. The manager, went above and beyond to make sure we felt cared for and were enjoying authentic experiences in Mexico City. His thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and genuine desire to make our stay special made such a difference. It was clear that he truly cared about our experience, not simply about providing a place to stay. The reception staff were also wonderful. They helped us plan our itinerary, navigate the city, and make sure we could experience Mexico City safely and easily. Having their guidance and support gave us so much peace of mind, especially while travelling with my son. What made Casa Izel stand out was the feeling of personal care. We never felt like just guests — we felt looked after. Their recommendations helped us experience the city in a much more authentic and enjoyable way. My son and I left with such wonderful memories, and we would stay at Casa Izel again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay with genuinely caring people who will make your Mexico City experience special, I cannot recommend Casa Izel enough.
