Independent in San Juan

"Parking is a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel. It is confusing the first time you do it. The hotel room was nice and big but it is outdated. Needs a full remodel. Everything was clean. No pool on the property, and breakfast was lacking to say the least. Cereal, fruit, croissants and bagels, that’s about it. Parking is $15 a day in that garage they tell you to park in. A couple beaches less than 10 minutes away. Nice restaurants around the corner like Cruda and El Taller Taco de Diseño. There’s also a Brazilian steakhouse but we didn’t go there. My daughter has a burrito from Cruda 3 days in a row."

"This is branded as a luxury hotel but it is definitely not. The building is old, the rooms are dated, the hallways have a musty smell, the service is average at best, and the food is lacking. Check-in “begins” at 4 but you’re not guaranteed to have your room ready by then. My room wasn’t ready until 4:30. "

"Let people know that there are no elevators! People with handicaps struggle with steps. "

"Loved our balcony with a table and chairs and a beautiful beach view. Loved sitting for breakfast looking straight out onto the beach. Lounge chairs and umbrellas were readily available. We had a loud air conditioning unit near our room and the ice machine in our hall didn’t work, but those are the only two minuses. The AC didn’t keep Us awake. And the hotel has huge dispensers of ice water flavored with orange slices all around the lobby, so we didn’t suffer. Would love to stay here again! "

"It was a room at the airport- sufficient for our needs 2-3 star at best. The restaurant staff for breakfast buffet was great! The restaurant Campo Virede was MEH food overpriced and service VERY slow we got an app and went to Town for less than rhey were charging for meals."

"Breakfast hours are too short. Also, the variety of breakfast items are terrible. Destination fee $45 is overpriced.. in addition to $19 parking fee !!! "
