The Space:

Welcome to Dorado Cove, a beautifully renovated three-level, 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home located in Villas de Playa I within Dorado del Mar. The home’s common areas — including the kitchen, dining area, family room, and covered terrace — are located on the first level, while all bedrooms are located on the upper floors and are accessible only by stairs.



This spectacular location puts you close to everything — beach access, golf, casino, restaurants, bowling, and more — while giving you a stylish, comfortable home base to enjoy it all.



IMPORTANT NOTE: This property is strictly for a maximum of 7 guests at any given time - this includes visitors.



IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS COMMUNITY IS VERY STRICT WITH REGARD TO ITS AMENITIES, NOISE, PARKING, ETC. FINES CAN AND WILL BE LEVIED IF RULES ARE BROKEN. FINES CAN BE AS HIGH AS $200 PER DAY. BY RESERVING THIS PROPERTY YOU ARE AGREEING TO PAY ANY FINE GIVEN TO US FOR THE DATES YOU WERE AT THE PROPERTY. 



IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL RESERVATIONS ARE CONTINGENT ON SIGNING A SEPARATE RENTAL AGREEMENT DETAILING ALL RULES, REGULATIONS, AND POSSIBLE FINES IN THIS COMMUNITY. 



LIVING AREAS



The main living areas are located on the first floor and feature a bright, modern open-concept layout that brings the living room, dining area, kitchen, and covered terrace together in one comfortable space.



The living room includes a large flat-screen TV, comfortable sofa seating, full A/C, and direct access to the terrace, making it an easy place to relax after a day at the beach or spend time together as a group.



The adjacent dining area offers seating for 4 guests at the dining table, with 3 additional seats at the kitchen counter, providing dining space for up to 7 guests.

Large doors and windows bring in plenty of natural light and connect the indoor space with the covered outdoor terrace, where guests can enjoy outdoor dining and the BBQ area.



A convenient half bathroom is also located on this level.





SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:



Dorado Cove is a three-level home, and all bedrooms are located on the second and third floors, accessible only by stairs.



SECOND FLOOR



- Bedroom 1: Queen bed

- Bedroom 2: Queen bed

- Full Bathroom: Shared by both bedrooms



THIRD FLOOR



- Master Bedroom: King bed with a private full bathroom

- Connecting Kids’ Room: Twin bed with direct access through the primary bedroom



The home comfortably sleeps 7 guests, with a maximum occupancy of 8 guests at any time, including visitors.

Because all sleeping areas are upstairs, we recommend guests keep the stairs in mind when traveling with young children or anyone with limited mobility.





PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





KITCHEN



The fully renovated kitchen is bright, modern, and equipped with everything you need for your stay. The kitchen has a counter space that is ideal for serving meals buffet style. The 4-person dining table is conveniently located adjacent to the kitchen so cooking and dining can become one large social event. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave oven, stovetop, coffee maker, and toaster.



The home also includes A/C, Wi-Fi, TV, washer/dryer, beach chairs, a cooler, and one designated parking space.





GETTING AROUND & PARKING



The property includes one (1) assigned parking spot.



Renting a car is a must when staying in Dorado. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants, shops, and beaches as well as to explore the rest of the island. 



 

LOCATION



Dorado Cove is located at Villas de Playa I within Dorado del Mar, a beautiful community in Dorado Puerto Rico that is well known for its gorgeous tropical grounds and beach access. Dorado del Mar is home to the Embassy Suites by Hilton. This is a safe and gated community that is great for families and anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Dorado Cove is a 45-minute drive from San Juan and the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport.



Besides enjoying the beautiful villa and all amenities on offer, there are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites:



Explore the local culinary scene with everything from local Puerto Rican food to excellent Italian and Asian options.



Dorado del Mar has its own casino - The Blue Dolphin Casino! Dorado Cove is ideal for those who want to enjoy the casino nightlife and then retreat to a comfortable space less than a 10 minute drive from the action.



Road trip to the Cerro Gordo or Dorado public beaches. Both of these are long sandy beaches that are well protected from swell and are a 5-minute drive from the villa.



Explore the Camuy Caves – a huge cave system about an hour's drive away that is home to the third-longest underwater river in the world.



Spend a day in Old San Juan, a 35-minute drive away and the oldest city in all of the US.



Other Things to Note:

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge

- A small amount of laundry detergent



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 7 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.
