The Space:

The kitchen here is the kind you can actually cook in: a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, blender, rice maker and coffee maker cover everything from your morning coffee to a proper dinner. A full bed sits just steps away in the same open room, simple and comfortable for two. Because the entrance is private, you skip shared hallways entirely — just your own front door. Outside, a patio catches mountain views in one direction and puts the ocean within easy reach in the other, while air conditioning and a ceiling fan handle the Puerto Rico heat.



Guest Access:

You'll have full access to the entire apartment, as well as the property's shared amenities and common areas.

You'll get your door code and smart lock code ahead of arrival for a fully contactless check-in, plus free parking right on-site or along the street.



The Neighborhood:

This part of Río Grande, in the barrio of Hato Candal along Puerto Rico's northeast coast, stays quiet and residential even though it sits minutes from two of the island's biggest draws: El Yunque National Forest and Playa del Yunque. Couples and solo travelers tend to like it here — mountains and ocean both close by, with none of San Juan's density.



Getting Around:

A rental car is really the way to go here: it puts Playa del Yunque 12 minutes away, El Yunque National Forest's entrance within 20 to 30 minutes, and San Juan's Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport about 45 minutes to an hour down the road. Taxis and rideshare do operate locally, but a car makes bouncing between the beach, the rainforest and nearby towns much simpler.

- Check-in begins at 4:00 PM local time.

- Checkout is at 11:00 AM local time.

- To ensure a smooth arrival for incoming guests, please honor the checkout time.

- Unauthorized late checkouts will incur an additional fee.

- The reservation must be booked by a legal adult; children are welcome to stay as part of the group.

Online Check-In and Verification

- Once you complete your online check-in, you'll receive the instructions to access the property.

- A simple rental agreement ensures clarity and ease; by completing your reservation you agree to our rental terms and conditions.

- To meet legal and building security requirements, you may be asked to provide a government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact info, complete our verification portal and, in some cases, a background check. This information is collected only for screening/verification purposes and is not stored or used otherwise.



Utilities & Weather in Río Grande, Puerto Rico

- Electricity Management: Due to the energy situation in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, power outages can occur from time to time. We have a backup generator so you're never left in the dark, though its runtime depends on responsible use. During an outage, we recommend limiting higher-draw items — A/C, microwave, hair dryer, washer/dryer, and chargers — so the generator lasts as long as possible for everyone.

- Water Supply: Water outages are uncommon, and we're prepared with backup water tanks on-site. If an external service interruption happens, we recommend using water only for the essentials and pausing the washing machine until service is restored.

- Extended Outages: If an outage lasts more than 3 hours and you choose to stay, you may request a refund for the affected nights. If you'd prefer to cancel the remainder of your stay, you may request a refund for the unused nights.

- Hurricane & Storm Policy: We want your stay to be safe, but weather is out of our control. No refunds are issued for weather-related cancellations; however, in the event of a storm, we're happy to help you reschedule, subject to calendar availability.
