Beautiful place to stay in Puerto Rico
Drew’s house is in a gorgeous location with great views. So many places (beaches, El Yunque, etc.) are within a short drive so it’s a perfect home base for excursions but you also won’t be bored hanging out by the pool or in the jacuzzi. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Puerto Rico with a large group.

This house was amazing! Exceeded all of our expectations. The view is even better in life, pictures do not do this property justice. Everything you need is already there and if it’s not Jessie is just a phone call away. She was very respectful and did not just randomly show up. I would 10/10 recommend.

Stunning Home!
We had an incredible experience here for a bachelorette party. The pool and view were all we needed for a weekend with friends, and the house itself exceeded our expectations. The location was also central enough that we were able to go to Old San Juan for a night out one evening and to Fajardo for a boat day. We would highly recommend!!

Surrounded by beauty
We absolutely loved this vacation property. It is off the beaten path but it is so easy to access everything. We spent time in the rain forest, at the beach, and reconnecting with everyone at the house. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces. Each day started with breakfast at the outdoor bar. The view is amazing. After a day of exploring it was so nice to come back and enjoy a cocktail and spending time with family. Thank you Drew and Sarah for sharing you wondrful home!

Incredible home with spectacular views
We had a fabulous time while staying here! The view is absolutely incredible and we thorough enjoyed it while swimming in the pool and playing billiards. It is stocked very well in the kitchen and there were also beach items that were very helpful. Our teenagers also enjoyed sampling the different fruits on the property. Communication with property owner was very prompt and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Everything that we needed with a gorgeous view!
We spent a week at Casa Rio Grande. April 10th-17th. The views, terraces, and pool area were spectacular!! The house had everything we needed. Luis and Yesi (pronounced Jessi) the couple that worked with us at checkin and during the stay were so kind and helpful! There were a few things that I feel you may like to know: 1.) PR mosquitos are tiny but ruthless! There are so many around the covered outdoor ‘living area’ You definitely will want to bring a bug spray with higher percentages of deet because our off wipes didn’t phase them! 2.) Washer/dryer. I’m not sure that the owners allow guests to normally use their on property washer/dryer. But they did offer it to us which was so kind! But the dryer does not have heat. So it didn’t dry. A washer and dryer for guest use would make the stay more comfortable. They do share information about a business that does laundry services though too. So you at least have options! 3.) The drive..the mountain is a mountain. So expect narrow, curved, some very steep areas. We are not the most adventurous though. Especially when we have the kids/baby with us. So the drive was pretty uncomfortable the first few days. The locals really race up and down the road and don’t hug the white line as they should to get two vehicles through safely. My husband got a little more comfortable but still didn’t like the drive. But honestly, our stay wouldn’t have been as enjoyable if we had not been on top of that gorgeous mountain though! So, overall, I would not have changed where we stayed. It’s just nice to have a heads up. Take your time, hug that white line when you can and take in the gorgeous views!

Great Place in the Mountains!
The house sits at the top of a mountain, so getting there can be a nerve wrecking, but not anything that you can't do, and once you are there the views are breathtaking. There is plenty of areas outside the house to relax, and we spent most of our time outside. The house looks bigger in the pictures that it really is, on the inside you have all 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, dinning room, 2 bathrooms (one is a Jack and Jill bathroom), and a Livingroom all on one level. (For whatever reason, I assumed there were multiple levels of living space). Bring plenty of OFF and bug spray, because you are surrounded by nature. We really enjoyed our stay and the communication between the property owner, housekeepers and myself was perfect. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us!

A Week in Paradise
This is a beautiful, spacious home in a private setting with views of the ocean and El Yunque rainforest. We visited for a week in February and wish we could have stayed longer. Enjoying our morning coffee, we watched the clouds gather over the rainforest, then burst with rain, while the sun shone above,us, often creating rainbows. At the invitation of our host, we picked an abundance of fruit on the property. Beautiful flowering plants surround the home. The road ends at the Rio Grande River where we found a private swimming pool in the river rocks. After touring or hiking all day, we were glad to leave the noise and traffic behind and return to our Casa to swim in the pool, enjoy the evening breezes and listen to the coqui frogs and doves. The house is very well maintained and stocked with everything we needed for our week in paradise. The host was nearby and responded quickly to our questions. We appreciated the beach towels, chairs and cooler that made our beach days even more enjoyable. Do not hesitate to book this wonderful property.

One of the best vacations we have been on. House was amazing views are spectacular. Other reviews are correct pictures (although beautiful) do not compare to real views. Spent the most relaxing week in our own private paradise. Didn’t need to leave the rental to have an amazing time. Owners were very communicative and helpful! Will be back!!

The views are breathtaking!
The views are worth the tricky drive up the mountain. We were constantly in awe of the beautiful scenery. Our group of 6 had plenty of space to spread out during the day and at night everyone had their own bed so no one had to share :). The kitchen is huge with plenty of space for meal prep. Hubby grilled several times. Mosquitoes are insane so bring repellent and itch cream. Pool table was great for entertainment. Used the swimming pool every day. Great place overall.

Great Property
Property was consistent with photos in the review. The views were amazing. The location gave you the experience of authentic PR rather than that of a tourist environment. If you aren't afraid of nature's friends like I am you will absolutely love this place. The only issues we experienced were with Ants coming inside the home and in our vehicles and some small reptiles (snake, lizards) that were spotted on the property which was expected.

Great getaway!
Our family had a great experience! We were looking for a comfortable house with a private pool, so we could relax and spend time together with 2 kids. This house is located high up in the mountain, so it had amazing views. It also had a great pool area to spend the day & pool table to play at night. No need to go out. Recommended!!!

Great family getaway
This is a great place to spend time with family, very spacious and accomodating. As expected, the view is truly amazing. The pool was great, outdoor bar and bbq and pool table are great for entertainment, just make sure you take your mosquito repellant! We also visited the nearby river, it was a fun time. Communication with host and caretakers was also really great. We do think that an update to all furnishings is due, but still this place has all you need for a family vacation. Thanks for everything!

Heaven on earth!
Words cannot describe the hospitality you get at this place. We stayed for 3 days and we literally feel right at home. Luis and Yessenia( caretakers) are amazing and heartwarming. The owners are so attentive and helpful, they make sure you feel right at home. The owners and caretakers are great team, they try to do everything Within their reach to accommodate you and your loved ones. We loved this place and will recommend it to all my family friends for when they visit Puerto Rico as well.

The pictures do not do this house justice, the house was everything expected plus more! The view is breathtaking. The house was clean and comfortable. We plan on returning next year! The location is perfect, close to the airport and all the beaches on the east side of the island. The groundskeepers were helpful with questions we had and always available as well as David and Lisa too.

The most perfect vacation home
This place was amazing just as it was reprisented. This was our first family vacation with 3 generations together. The Location really gave you a homely heart of Puerto Rico feel 10 times better than a hotel. The drive up the mountain is definately pretty scary especially at night but after a few times you get used to it and the place is well worth it. We are 100% considering coming back to Casa Rio Grande for our next Vacation.

This is a fabulous rental! Location is beautiful. Yes, there is a long winding road to the property, but being up that high gives you fabulous views. The owners clearly take pride in their house, which is well-supplied. Lots of space for a group to spread out. We loved that we were able to use The provided beach towels and chairs. One of the top VRBOs that we have ever stayed in.!

We rented this property last minute for our family of 8! Our stay was very comfortable and this property is absolutely gorgeous like the photos on VRBO. Daniel and his wife Lisa are great hosts. We had trouble locating the house in the dark but they came out to direct us. We also ate some papayas off the trees on the property. The bedrooms are very comfortable. Multiple living areas indoor and outdoors makes for a very fun family vacation.

Lisa and the property were great! No complaints other than it is a little hard to find, but Lisa gave great directions and lead us in the first time! The house is absolutely gorgeous and full of everything you could need. It was odd not having central air/heat (were from Texas) but we easily adjusted as we had gorgeous weather and ac in the bedrooms. We will absolutely rent again when we go back! It’s also close to Most everything we did or were planning which was nice!

the perfect getaway
This house was absolutely stunning. The view from all 3 terraces combined with the beautiful architecture of the house and pool will make you want to move in forever. The property owner was very helpful in ensuring an easy check in and out process, and the neighbors were friendly enough to answer any of our questions about the area or the island in general. Even the drive to the house is an adventure, taking you through beautiful scenic roads up the mountainous jungle terrain. All in all, a perfect place to reside during your stay in Puerto Rico, you will not be disappointed!

This place was amazing and was just as described in the photos! Beautiful sunrise and sunsets and the pool was awesome after a hot day at the beach. Communication from the owners was excellent. A Little Slice of Paradise
Wow, what a fantastic place! The owners have done a fantastic job on the property. Whether it was relaxing in the pool, a little lazy swinging in the hammocks, shooting a game of pool on the outdoor covered veranda, or just enjoying the stunning views, a great time was had by all. The property is very well maintained with plenty of space for the six of us. Though we didn't need it, there was plenty of parking space. We had a minor issue with one of the lights and it was dealt with promptly by the friendly caretaker. I hope we'll be able to visit again!

The Villa looked exactly like the pictures, and our stay was delightful!!! We even were able to see the a rainbow like the one in the picture. It rained a lot during our stay, but that was not a problem as our group so enjoyed just relaxing at the Villa, The mountain road could be a little scary, especially at night in the pouring rain, but there is nothing they can do about the road. Other than the mountain road, it was delightful! If I make it back to Puerto Rico, I would stay here again. Kathy

EPIC Get Away!
The best place and the most friendliest people I have dealt with. Lisa & Dave instantly became family! The home is just out of words AMAZING! My wife was super thrilled and my son said I went out the meter with this one! I HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for an EPIC place to stay! Everything was about 10-15 minutes away with no hassles getting there. Once in town everything needed is there! The house is just simply beautiful and I want to back today if I didn’t have to go back to work! Again I highly recommend. If it’s available Book it, don’t think twice! You’ll love it as much as I did or more! GUARANTEED!

Amazing views, perfect for a family vacation
My family and my sister’s family stayed here for a week. Out kids range in age from 3 to 11. The house was not too far from everything we wanted to do (Old San Juan, beaches, the snorkeling and bioluminescent bay tours) and the house itself had beautiful views (you can see the ocean from the mountain, and we saw several spectacular rainbows) and a great mix of stuff to do. Hours and hours were spent in the pool, playing cornhole, playing pool, and reading and talking in the outdoor spaces. The kids got to meet Dave and Lisa’s dogs, cat, and goats (though the animals were not sharing our space :)). There were also comfortable places to watch tv when everybody was worn out. The kitchen had most everything we needed for cooking and the house was clean. Lisa was very helpful during our stay.

Beautiful Setting!
Words really can't describe what a special place this is. Every time I stepped out of the house, I would just shake my head in awe of the views of the rain forest and ocean. The sounds of all the animals in the rain forest really made you feel like you were a part of it. The house itself was huge and immaculate. The multi-tiered patios offered different views of the surroundings. The newly completed out door bar areas was one of our favorite spots to take it all in. The pool was large, clean and definitely an added bonus. Loved the outdoor TV/living area. Dave and Lisa were terrific hosts! They answered all of our questions before and after we booked the trip and gave us excellent advice on directions, restaurants, and things to do on the island. We miss them already! We are so glad we picked this house and island to celebrate our sons last spring break with us before he goes off to college. We shall return!

Gorgeous Landing Spot for Memorable Vacation!
Our family of SEVEN was blissfully comfortable here - there was so much space! We used every corner of this beautiful home. Day trips to El Yunque or San Juan and other destinations were great fun and when the day was done, we had the most amazing place to come home to. The pool and the view make day trips unecessary, though. We had a few that would stay behind to just relax at the house while the adventurers did their thing. The pictures hardly do justice - we saw a rainbow every day! We frequented Ralph's Market to stock the house and had many meals at home. We did dine at Ekelekua and the food was amazing. (And they had a TV... it was March Madness when we were there!) Also, Degree 18 Juice Bar was a family favorite - we went back several times for their Acai Bowls and smoothies. We went to Toroverde and zip-lined and I can honestly say that it was the coolest thing I've ever done - just breathtaking. Even the faint of heart can feel good about it being super safe and just a beautiful experience. The roads can take a little getting used to - you can't get that amazing view without winding through the mountain to get there but we got comfortable pretty quickly and actually enjoyed the driving as we spent our week there. The house had everything we needed and David and Lisa were wonderful hosts. Would absolutely go back and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

Excellent Views and Location
Even before we left for Puerto Rico, David and Lisa were great at communicating with us and responding promptly to our questions. The location of this house is very convenient and we felt like we saw a lot of the island in the 7 days we were there (30 mins from the beach, 30 mins from El Yunque, 40 mins to Old San Juan). We felt very safe to walk to the stream close by. The views from the house are absolutely amazing! There were lots of different outdoor spaces for our family to enjoy and spread out. The interior was fine for our family of 2 kids (ages 5,7) and 5 adults. Note for families: There was no washer/dryer on site... not a deal breaker for us, but something we forgot to consider. We would definitely consider staying here again:)

Breathtaking & perfect!
This place is above and beyond! The views are spectacular, the home was clean with everything we needed provided, and Dave & Lisa were awesome hosts! I can’t begin to explain the beauty that surrounds you here- every night you can hear the coqui frogs and the birds, and drinking coffee watching the sun rise over El Yunque is simply fantastic!

Amazing House, Wonderful Hosts, Highly Recommended!
My five children and I stayed in June 2018. I was cautiously optimistic about the status of the island, given all of the coverage of the recovery from Maria. From my perspective, the island is fully back in business, and I would encourage anyone who is unsure to visit and support the Puerto Rico tourism industry. Even the pre-Maria pictures on VRBO don't compare to being there. We went everywhere on the island, from Cabo Rojo in the Southwest to Culebra Island, and we had no issues whatsoever. We went somewhere different every day, and I highly recommend visiting Cueva del Indio, Gozalandia Falls, and Culebra. We did a boat charter for snorkeling and exploring Flamenco beach in Culebra, and it was perfect. The house is amazing. I wish we had had more time to actually spend at the house. The location is perfect. Very safe and away from the congested areas, but just a quick drive down the mountain to get to the highway and access the entire island. My children and I had plenty of space to relax and not get on each other's nerves. It is very comfortable. Lisa was there to meet us when we arrived and make sure we got settled, and both David and Lisa were extremely easy to communicate with. We had no issues. I would definitely stay again, and we usually don't stay in the same place twice. Thanks for everything! -The Richardsons
