Beautiful place in a stumning setting. Main problem was the quality of food at the restaurant that used too much grease in everything. The hotel was hard to get to, having to cross three rivers so could get stuck with flooding. It was definitely great value. Would stay here again

The Magnific Rock Hotel and their staff were excellent. The view was one of a kind and our room took full advantage of it. The beaches were awesome and yes I said Beaches one on each side of the hotel. The restaurant had great food and a wide variety and the staff were very friendly,helpful and attentive.We can't wait to return the village of Popoyo was great but the Beaches were superb we walked for a mile with the ocean on one side and jungle on the other.We saw birds and heard the crashing surf but we were all by ourselves it was wonderful. So what to say about Magnific rock...firstly don't be fooled by the pics. The rooms that are not the nice apartment are basically only run down shacks, some with broken doors and other doors just old and in need of replacement. The staff are friendly, although I'm pretty sure one of the bartenders stiffed me 200 cordobas after I asked him to change a $20 bill. My fault I guess for being so trusting. I haven't gotten to the good part yet...The room we had was relatively new but with some questionable construction. I noticed very large and active red ants in the room. The worst part though, it felt like a kennel. 4 or 5 dogs roam round the property, unattended, and if they don't like you, will bark like hell when as they did to us when we were going back to our bedrooms one night from having dinner. Scared the hell out of us. But wait, I havent mentioned the cats. Unless they are there as rat deterrents, they keep 2 cats in the DINING area, yes the dining area, that will hound you for food until you leave. But the worst part, the first evening we ate there, the unmistakable smell of cat urine engulfed us while we were having dinner. We even smelled it one night out on the balcony when trying to enjoy sounds of the ocean. I get that its great for surfing and all I suppose and the views of the ocean are great, but is it worth it? Even getting there was risky as you have to pass to 'rivers' that could easily make a small compact stall if it rains too much.

Tolle Aussicht mit schönem Strand

Toll gelegenes Hotel mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Die 2 gebuchten Chalets 1 und 2 liegen ganz am Ende der Anlage und heizen sich in der Sonne extrem auf. Selbst die Klimaanlage hat Schwierigkeiten, die Räume zu kühlen. Wirklich sauber waren die Räume auch nicht, mit Spinnennetzen innen am Fenster und Haaren in der Dusche wäre das übertrieben. Mit etwas mehr Liebe zu Details wäre es wesentlich besser. Allerdings entschädigt der wunderbare Strand vor der Tür und die tolle Aussicht aus der Unterkunft und vom Restaurant.

Excellent place to stay.

We had such a wonderful time at Magnific Rock and highly recommended it. The views are breathtaking... the best we’ve seen in Nicaragua. The staff were all very friendly and the owners went out of their way to show us around the area and make us feel at home. The food was delicious, the room was clean, the beach was within walking distance - everything was really enjoyable. We actually extended our stay! We don’t have one bad thing to say about Magnific Rock. It was quiet, considering that the political situation in Nicaragua has put a lot of people off, but we didn’t find it affected us at all and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
