Family-friendly 2bd Condo in Historic San Juan + Patio!

  • This comfortable and clean two story, two-bedroom, one-bath condo is centrally located in south Orange County, minutes away from downtown San Juan Capistrano and the Amtrak train station!
    🏖Just a 12 min drive to nearest beach - Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Harbor - and within 15-20 mins of famous surf spots including Trestles and Salt Creek, while also being located within 30 mins of Disneyland. 🇪🇸Old town San Juan Capistrano is just a few min drive from condo and offers great shopping, Los Rios District, The historic Mission @ San Juan and more. 🛍 The San Clemente Pier and The Outlets @ San Clemente are located just a 15 min drive south. The surrounding area (within 10 mins) is filled with great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, shopping and more. Miles of hiking trails are walking distance from condo. There are several very large grassy parks with kids play structures located in the community. John Wayne airport is 25 minutes away and the Amtrak station is 8 mins away. 20 minutes drive to Laguna Beach, 30 minutes to Disney Land, 1 hour to Los Angeles, and 1 hour to San Diego.

    GETTING AROUND: Car is highly recommended. Uber and Lyft are very available in the area. (Amtrak train station is 5 min drive from house. John Wayne International airport is 25 min drive & LAX is about 1 hour drive).
    Close to grocery stores like Ralph's and Trader Joe's and several amazing restaurants! Easy access to the 5 freeway.

    Kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking. Coffee and some pantry staples are provided. Beach towels, chairs and umbrella are also available for guests to use.

    Patio with picnic table, umbrella and propane BBQ make the perfect spot to enjoy an outdoor meal.

    Sleeps up to 5 people, with one on the sofa (sofa does not fold out but is very comfortable for one).

    NOTE: There is no overnight street parking available (permit required). Private, detached, single car garage parking provided for one vehicle. Garage is located right around the corner from the front door (15 steps away). Additional vehicles can park overnight at the Park-n-Ride located at the freeway entrance, about 3 mins drive from condo.

Great place in SJC

The property was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The garage made parking a cinch, and it was a very short drive (short enough that we walked twice instead of driving) to the center of town. The host was kind and communicative, making the whole stay fun and easy!

Host canceled 3 hours before Check In

We booked this several months out to attend the Ohana Fest in Dana Point. Three hours before check in, the host canceled our booking. We did get a refund but there was absolutely no communication from the host, it took me reaching out since no instructions were provided, left the host my phone number and we never heard from them. We are extremely unhappy from this experience and VRBO wasn’t much help either.

Read Before Booking

I booked this property for a work stay and my teams experience was incredibly disappointing. First, upon arrival, they found that the garage was too small to fit their F-250 truck and there was no other parking available. I contacted the owner and he mentioned there was a park and ride 2 miles away. To add insult to injury, they also found that there was no central air conditioning, only one small wall unit in the master bedroom. After working outside in the summer heat, they couldn’t even stay there comfortably. If these items would have been properly mentioned in the description, I would have never booked the property. On top of these issues, the overall cleanliness of the property was subpar. It was clear that the place hadn't been properly cleaned and there was a pile of furniture dumped in front of the unit. They didn’t feel comfortable so I went ahead and contacted the owner to voice our concerns. He mentioned there was no cancellation or refunds available since he wouldn't be able to rebook even after I had sent him pictures of the issues. After booking hotel rooms for them down the street, I kindly notified the owner that they would not be staying there and asked that he at least refund half of the stay. I never heard back leaving me no choice but to write this review.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops and grocery stores. Check in and check out were simple and we had a nice stay. TV worked well and we used our streaming services. The place has a fully functioning kitchen. There is a community pool, but pool furniture HOA needs to replace the pool furniture as there were no lounge chairs and many regular chairs are broken. A couple things to be aware of are there is only parking for one car and street parking is not allowed unless you have a resident permit. Thankfully, we discovered that there is a "park and ride" about a mile away, where we moved our other car each night and picked it up each day. Also, there is not central air conditioning, which was not a problem for us because the weather was not real hot (mid 70s) the two weeks we were there. It would be uncomfortable in the second bedroom in hotter weather (mid 80s or above). Overall, we had a good stay, price was fair and location good.

Great location!

Very convenient for us to spend our days with family nearby and a comfy place to return to each night. Luke is a great host and accommodated an early checkin and an extra night.
