Canyon Casa is a newly constructed modern/rustic home nestled in the mountains along the banks of the grand Rio Virilla, in the charming town of Cuidad Colon. As dawn turns to daybreak there's nothing more enchanting than awaking to the sunlight through the open windows and the sounds of the roaring river echoeing through each surface of this property. I am quite convinced Canyon Casa is quite arguably one of the most peaceful places on the planet.

The open floor plan and expansive wall of windows allow for fantastic natural light during the day as well showcase the luscious green mountains and magnificent views of the Rio Virilla. Indulge further in the views from the two covered decks while watching toucans, macaw's and monkey's as you sip your Costa Rican Cafe in the morning. Our Japanese garden is perfect for enjoying a meal prepared in our fully stocked modern kitchen. Love to pick your own food ? So do we ! Enjoy a multitude of fresh fruits on our farm depending on the season. Take a hike out your back door or go have a night out on the town. Our property is conveniently located just:

Priceless View

Everything about this property and the host was beyond my expectations. Yes the photos that are posted are beautiful but they don’t come close to showing you how truly magnificent her property and the land around it is. We plan to go back later this year again and stay. I could have stood on that balcony all day looking out into that valley below.

Pretty place, hard and scary to get there

This place is beautiful. I travelled from the states with my husband and 3 kids (2,9,12) This place is t really kid friendly. The ride there is extremely rough and scary (dangerous in my opinion). In order to get in and out you will need a 4x4, no Uber or taxi or anything other than a 4x4 will get you there. The roads are super small with steep ditches on the sides and no light. As you can imagine, after almost not making it because the airport taxi clunky notnhandke the steep roads I was very skeptical. Coming into the house we realized the house isn3 floors, the bedrooms are 1 upstairs and 2 downstairs. My mother in law has major knee problems and we were under we the impression 2 of the bedrooms were in the main floor. Wendy, the person that manages the unit, is super helpful and friendly and understanding. Jessica, the owner was also very nice and agreed to refund 6 of the 7 nights we were supposed to stay there. Still waiting on the money, but faithful it will all work out. In my opinion, this is a great place for adults to get away, rent a 4x4 and relax I y he mountain.
