Luis was an amazing host.. He was very helpful with the area and the bnb itself was perfect. The rooms were very comfortable and the garden area was quite beautiful. We are planning our next trip already.

This hotel is very unique! I loved spending time in the garden with all the plants. The location is great, and they even provide fruit and coffee for breakfast.

The bedroom was very clean and attractive. It was perfect and the shower really nice. The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating. My favorite staff was the greater that showed me love every moment she could and that is Mandy the dog. She's so sweet that I wanted to take her home with me. I absolutely loved spending time on my bedroom balcony that faced the beautiful garden. It was SO peaceful. The only downside was the noice level of other people who stayed there. The walls are thin and the noice traveled. I recommend signs asking patrons to keep it down after 10 pm or to simply have consideration for others when talking, watching TV or closing their doors. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend for others to stay there. Most importantly, it's extremely affordable.

Very very clean, great staff, location within San Jose is perfect. Downtown Central Market is 10 to 15 minutes by car or UBER. The soccer stadium is 8 minutes away. Restaurants and grocery and shopping is absolutely everywhere but the BnB is 1 block off the main boulevard. The US Embassy is literally 1 to 2 minutes away walking if that far. about the largest modern mall is also close but cannot provide distance. Full kitchen to use on main floor . Great Costa Rica coffee provided. Breakfast is simple with toast, coffee with local jams. Fresh fruit cocktail made daily it appeared. The photos provided at their website is exactly what it is. I will be going back in 2 or 3 weeks actually. I in error left my phone charger when I checked out. The manager sent me a Whatsapp message with photo they have it safe and will keep it until I return. (Costa Rican mail service is NOT usually reliable).

Jungla Urbana far exceeded my expectations! Lois does a wonderful job with keeping the hotel in great order! The rooms look like scale hotel rooms! No AC is needed. Wonderful covered outdoor patio to relax on…. Or even eat the free breakfast on. There is a clean shared kitchen too, well stocked to cook also . Supper close to the American Embassy ! ( walking distance ) I live in Costa Rica and stayed here to have Dental Work in Escazu… glad I made this choice … I would stay here again… for sure!

The area is really nice and safe. I enjoyed walking everywhere! My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The building is under maintenance, there is construction ongoing, the kitchen was not available to use. There are no pets allowed, however the host has a medium sized dog running all around the corridors. This guy was also very rude to everyone, staff and guests.

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. There's parking on the street. There's little, if any, hot water in the shower and water pressure is very limited. The host that runs the place is a little grumpy to some extent, but he's a sweet man and he's very tolerable. The price is good. The U.S. Embassy is around the corner. Everything is close by. There's a supermarket around the corner as well.

The Jungla Urbana property was very nice and comfortable. It is conveniently accessible, and close to a local grocery and restaurants. The daily continental breakfast was great as well. The only downside was the property caretaker, Luis who was very unwelcoming. While he seemed more pleasant toward other guests, I got the impression he treated me differently because I was not of his persuasion. Additionally, while the property is very clean, from time to time there was a distinct odor of urine near the kitchen, presumably coming from the dog that is kept penned up in an enclosure off the kitchen.

Hosts were on site all day and always accessible. Very helpful and congenial! Exterior is not special, but interior of B&B is terrific. Spacious rooms, a beautiful shared patio, complete shared kitchen. You can walk to a number of restaurants, and drive to many more within a few minutes. The only negative for late sleepers is that the Catholic church on the corner rings it bell early in the AM.
