This hotel's location is convienent and it was clean. But I was very disappointed to discover, upon check-in, that the breakfast that is advertised on line as included actually wa NOT included (or even available for purchase) and that the restaurant listed as being on site, was closed. Luckily there are other dining options availble within walking distace. But I will say I was disappointed, because I did not exactly get what I thought I was getting when I made the booking. The pool is nice. We couldn't turn the AC off, but I guess that's better than not being able to turn it on.

I made the reservations for two rooms. When I arrive at the property, the receptionist said there was only a reservation for one room with one bed. Fortunately, the receptionist was extremely helpful. I showed her the app and she called her manager and they approved the room for me. She did mention that it was only possible because they had rooms available. She mentioned that if the hotel had been booked, they wouldn’t be able to accommodate the second room. I am not sure how this happened but the girl says that when they get a reservation with two rooms on it, they come in together on the same transaction or email. I’m afraid this thing can happen in the future and we will be left without accommodations. I never really got a proper response from Expedia because we came in late to the room and we were really tired and the receptionist noticed how tired we were, and was very compassionate. If it wasn’t for the kindness at the hotel personnel showed, we would’ve been left without accommodations which would’ve been a horrible thing. I hope that in the future this doesn’t happen again I’ve used Expedia a lot in our travels, and I’ve always had good success, but if it repeats itself again, I may have to use a different third-party app. If there’s anybody that can please give me a call or respond to this message. I would appreciate it. I would prefer if it’s a management personnel. Thank you.

The night clerk was very helpful plus spoke English. The morning clerk was also helpful but language was a problem. Otherwise everying was great.

Nice Quiet Hotel with wonderful scenery
I love staying in this quiet lovely hotel...staff is superb, right on the golf course, very quiet and peaceful to get a good nights rest while being so so close to the city and airport without all the noise!

Choice for One night Close to San Jose
Hotel still being remodeled with some level of noise during the day. A little under staffed but with the desire to be pleasant. It takes a while before warming up to a friendly conversation with the front desk, which it may discourage guests to stay there again from the get go. Not a bad hotel at all with good sized rooms for one night, the room doors are unusual as they are glass with a wood grain pattern vinyl film; not really that much noise is perceived inside of the room, just a little translucent from the hallways lights. Parking is limited, I would imaging that in a busy day it may be difficult to find where to park. If looking for a comfortable small business hotel, may not be your best choice. But if looking for a place to stay for the night at a reasonable price, in a quiet area of Cariari with access to restaurants, bars, and groceries a couple of blocks away, it may be your place!

Very close to airport
This hotel is comfortable and very close to the airport. Good place to stay if you have an early flight or land from a long flight. An uber from the airport to the hotel should be $5 and take no more than 10 mins.

I checked in late at night and the front desk employee was excellent. The room was spacious and clean. Great rate and convenient to my business meeting. I will definitely stay again.

Nice staff but not much else
Clean hotel for overnight stay. Staff very sweet but no too knowledgeable . Try to be helpful. Rooms large but no tables to put anything on. Same in bathroom. no vanity space to place toiletries on. Only one smsll mirror in bathroom. Need tables to place luggage on. Room on ground level on road . Should have cost less.

Located in a quiet upscale neighborhood 10 miles from the city center and six from the airport. Good restaurants and food market in walking distance. My room could have used a table or writing desk, and a bedside lamp would have been nice.

Very clean and spacious, nice that they have breakfast and wifi included i was pleasantly surprised my only issue was the shower pressure and temperature kept changing but other than that very clean and nice!

A generally disappointing experience
We stayed at this hotel for our last night in Costa Rica in March 2017 but wish we had not. We expected to have supper there but discovered that the restaurant was not open, apparently due to staffing problems. Our room had no chairs so the only place to sit was on the bed. The bed cover was stained and the bathroom did not appear clean. There were no glasses in the room. The bathroom did not have a full door and the door to the room itself was not soundproof. We would not recommend this hotel.

Modern, clean, great value near country club
This was a modern clean building. Great value. Close to grocery store. 500 meters west of Doubletree and country Club. Cariari section of northwest San Jose. Some airport noise during daylight hours. Limited WiFi on south side of building. Great connection around the bar, café and pool. Nice staff whose English is better than my Spanish. Stayed four nights, and will stay again going back north. Bridge construction/expansion cause two hour delay on Pan American highway only road between airport and central city during am/pm rush hours

Perfect for a relaxing stay
I stayed here twice (once when I arrived to San Jose and once when I was leaving) and it is a great little spot! Close to the airport, a great pool, helpful concierge, and coffee all day.

Great huge room at good price.
We were ther for one night only before leaving the country so we haven't visited the area. The hotel is exceptionnaly clean and brand new. The room was big and the beds very confortable. There is a wall between the two beds which give more privacy for the parents regarding the children ;-)

Hotel is clean and my guests enjoyed their stay. Very limited Spanish speaking staff. Difficult for guests to communicate. Calling hotel and getting information is difficult unless you speak Spanish.

- habían telarañas en las paredes - había una barrita de jabón de baño de un huésped anterior en el baño - la bañera tenía fuga - el aire acondicionado no enfriaba a pesar de que lo configuré en 17° C - a pesar de que las ventanas tenían cortinas balckout, se metía demasiada luz del sol por las orillas - la puerta no es de madera, es de vidrio, por lo que el papel no impide que entre la luz del sol, y hay mucha claridad por la luz del pasillo en la noche y la luz del sol en la mañana - resumen: no descansé bien. - habitación: 202
