We stayed at Hotel Casa Roland 2 times on our recent trip to Costa Rica. The hotel is gated and there is always someone at the door to great you (however, the hotel is in a very quite neighborhood). They have an excellent breakfast and the coffee is amazing. The rooms have nice beds and we slept well both times we visited. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an unusual Costa Rica owned hotel.
