Perez Zeledon has few hotel, I have had the opportunity to stay in Los Crestones and Hotel del Sur, those are OK. I wanted to level up and stay in the supposed Perez Zeledon Best Western. We paid for the more expensive room to get a king bed...This hotel is terrible, it has structural issues, you sit in the bet and it feels like the whole place is going to colapse, the shower is terrible, not very clean and the "hot" water comes and goes, you cannot take a 5 min shower without having to step out due to cold or very hot water. And... not only that, at midnight someone had a party in their room!! so I had to go to the reception to have the security people to go to shut this people up. We decided to leave due to the terrible experience currently dealing with the refund.

We had a brief one night stay on our way to Sn Jose - we had changed our reservation by a day as our plans evolved and had confirmation from Expedia but when we arrived the hotel hadn’t updated the date - but , Jesus at reception assured us it was no problem and we had a a room , but it was prepared for one person , not two , so we had to ask for the extra this and that for the two of us . But - all of the staff , Jesus in particular were just so wonderful, the restaurant staff as well , always smiling , nothing was a problem , so in the end after a bumpy start we had a great stay The hotel does need a little attention some details , but again , we had a great stay

I felt safe at the hotel but the area outside of the walls seemed a little scary. We were surprised the room did not have a safe. We had to carry our valuables with us on our day trips. But the staff were so sweet and even gave us advice on what to see and their advice was very good. The food at the restaurant is also very good.

The property is nothing short of stunning, clean, friendly and accommodating staff and dinner was terrific. Took a minute to find late at night but it was worth the effort.

Best of an average bunch!
Our room was a King Bed room on the first floor. Therefore the traffic noise was more noticeable. Facilities within the room were basic, but functional. We ate late in the onsite restaurant and we were more than happy with the food and the prices. However, the breakfast was definitely a disappointment. Very low quality food and the service was a million miles away from the previous night. There is a definite lack of quality hotels in San Isidro and having now stayed in nearly all of them, this is the best so far! The breakfast menu was made up of 7 choices included within the price of the room and several others that were extra. Perhaps the other options were of better quality, but if so, I'd rather pay more for the room and have a better breakfast, or just a flat reduction on the bill per person.

Property was clean and rooms were very nice. We were able to check in when we arrived, even though we were about an hour before stated check-in time. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. We ate in the restaurant one night of our two night stay. Menu had good array of selections at reasonable prices. Food was well prepared and waitstaff was attentive. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we are in the area.

Decent and affordable hotel
Good hotel with all basic amenities. We got in late and thankfully there was someone walking by inside the hotel that was able to open the gate for us since there is no doorbell or way to indicate you have arrived without calling. As we did not have SIM cards yet, we were at the mercy of the hotel to get in. The room was good. Comfortable bed with towels and soap. Wifi worked well for working in the morning. The free breakfast in the morning was a great plus. Overall good stay for a reasonable price.

Incredible staff that helped with luggage Santiago and Adrian were amazing as I had checked out and then rebooked. They upgraded my room at a discount. The breakfast that was complimentary was exactly what anyone traveling would love to see first thing in the morning. Fresh fruit unlimited coffee refills etc. Can not wait to stay again!

Wonderful experience!
I loved my time at Hotel Zima! The staff was fantastic. They are pricey, especially for the area, but I left there very happy. The bed was comfortable and much better than most beds I’ve stayed in, in Costa Rica. The coconut flan at service at the restaurant was wonderful. I’d suggest they put a mini fridge and coffee/tea maker in each room, or have that available for guest use for free. If it was less expensive I’d definitely spend more time there!

An outstanding aspect of this hotel is the magnificent service provided by its staff, with kindness and efficiency make guests feel very good in their facilities. The rooms are clean and spacious. A good breakfast is provided and the food in general is very good and reasonably priced. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to different types of services. Highly recommended.

eh, it was ok
The pool is tiny and was packed. The room was brand new, but the chair was broken and the picture fell off of the wall. The food was ok, but not worth the money. Overall our stay was ok, but certainly you can find nicer accommodations in this price range.

Great stay!
Only stayed one night, but it was a good choice. Full service hotel, with lovely pool area and restaurant. The room was large and nicely decorated, as was the ensuite bathroom. The town centre was within easy walking distance, although not a lot to do and see there! The staff on reception and in the restaurant were exceedingly friendly and helpful. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Don't expect much
I booked this hotel because its from the Best Western group and based on the hotel reviews, however I was not satisfied with the room which had a ver strong smell in the bathroom (seemed to me they used silicon to fix the washtub) and below it they had a very old and dirty towel to pamper the water. The room had only a lamp on the desk but none near the beds so to go to the bathroom at night you have to walk in the dark or turn on the TV for some light. I would not visit this hotel twice. Plus the hair dryer was broken.

Great little hotel
Options in San Isidro are very limited, so this hotel is a no brainer. The facilities are very clean and staff are friendly. I could do with larger rooms, but this is typical for this price point. Decent breakfast. Perfect location. Will stay again.
