Located in the Caribbean, the small coastal country of Belize is just a few hours flight from major US cities; its main language is English; it has a stable banking system, and it abides by English law. Belize is perhaps one of the last frontiers of truly free living.
Heaven Valley is 80 acres of fertile farmland and gorgeous views in the foothills of the Mayan mountains next to Spanish Lookout, in Cayo, 2 hrs. from the Belize City airport.
This chunk of heaven has rolling hills with tropical fruit trees and pines. It’s in the Billy White area just a few miles from the popular Mennonite community Spanish Lookout which is the center for local produce, fresh meat, fresh baked goods, and modern-day conveniences.
Quaint, safe Spanish Lookout is 15 minutes from San Ignacio – a favorite of expats and tourists.
Heaven Valley is fenced completely; some is cleared for cattle, some for tree & farming and year-round gardening. The rest of the 90 acres is lush tropical vegetation. Heaven Valley has a pond and a freshwater creek running throughout. The property is accessible directly from the main road but maintains privacy and spaciousness.

The unit is still being developed. We liked the country setting. But the dirt roads to get there are bumpy. Good value for the price. Very friendly & helpful hosts. Water pressure in the area is extremely low, something the hosts have no control over. But that makes taking a shower a challenging task. If we go back to the Spanish Lookout area, we'd be happy to stay there again. Frank

A birder's paradise off the beaten path. Incredible location that will pleasantly surprise you.
A truly amazing place to stay if you are looking for an authentic experience in the natural beauty of the Belizean interior at an affordable price. No crowds, no traffic, and a sprawling location that has multiple habitat types on site for exciting wildlife opportunities. The facilities are very well kept, clean, and homey making it easy to establish a quick feeling of relaxation on the deck outside overlooking the property. We slept 2 couples comfortably in the unit and were very impressed with what the place had to offer. Available kitchen supplies made meals delicious and the shower/bedroom/bathroom facilities were very clean. Shanita and her whole family could not have been more fantastic in making sure we had everything we needed and they helped us get oriented in their beautiful section of the Cayo district. Their attention to detail was incredibly helpful and she went out of her way to suggest outlets and contacts in the area having to do with our local interests. The early morning birding sessions around the property itself were second to none. I would recommend this impressive property and location to anyone looking to get a taste of an authentic rural atmosphere in Belize while not wanting to hassle with a crowd factor. All at a price that is affordable on any travel budget. A truly special place that I would not hesitate returning to myself or recommending to any other travelers with interests in the outdoors.
