"It is a pleasure to write a review of Casa das Capelas. It is a large and beautiful, fully renovated, historical building, set in lovely grounds. My excellent room looked out over rolling countryside. So peaceful. And the owners were extremely hospitable. There is a great patio to have a glass of wine, meet a few locals and eat a light dinner. "Wonderful room on the 2nd floor with views through the valley. Definitely upgrade to a superior room. Roomy with a seating area and an instant kettle. The breakfast buffet was good. Very hectic as there were a lot of people there. The staff worked hard to keep up. The food in the bar and restaurant was underwhelming. The wine pour was more of a tasting size than a regular pour. Overall a fantastic location to visit."

We would absolutely make a return trip & highly recommend to anyone traveling through Galicia."

"The farmhouse and grounds are absolutely beautiful with some of the best views you will ever see. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen very well equipped. However, we did miss a microwave but we soon learned to live without one!! The communication with our hosts was exemplary, they even offered to purchase fans for us if we required them (the house is so cool inside it wasn’t necessary). The outside space was lovely, covered in grape vines and lit with multi-coloured bulbs. The pool is beautiful and the surrounding grass smells of mint when you walk on it. Sun loungers look directly over the stunning valley.Parada de Sil is an 11 minute drive away where there are a few restaurants to choose from (1pm-4pm lunch & 8pm - 10pm roughly for dinner) - Candea was our favourite.The town of Ourense is an easy one hour drive away and we spent a night on the Atlantic Coast (2.5 hr drive).We had a very relaxing holiday in the most stunning location. Would definitely recommend visiting this relatively undiscovered part of Spain if you would like a complete change from hectic cities. STUNNING!"

"This was a strange spot but amazing location. The elevator was tiny but it worked. The room needs an upgrade and you could hear EVERYTHING in the rooms beside you but it was clean and all in all was good. The coffee shop across the road was lovely. I went nearly every day."
