"Excellent place and great history "

"Overall this was a good place to stay. My friend and I were busy sight seeing and just needed a place to sleep. Everything was cleanly, staff were very helpful and friendly and this was a nice, quiet area so it felt pretty comfortable and safe. Some of the amenities in the room were in rough shape, just from age and minimal upgrades, but of you’re looking for a place to sleep and don’t need fancy amenities, this is a good place for that! "

"We stayed in the junior suite. The room was amazing. Very clean and spacious. The balcony overlooked the river and it was fabulous to sit on in the day and night. You can see the riverwalk from the balcony all lit up at night. The valet parking was so convenient. You could come and go as much as you wanted for one fee and they had your car ready within minutes of you asking. We walked everywhere and only needed the car for farther trips. If I return to San Antonio I will definitely stay here again and request the same room. We didn’t swim in the pool because we didn’t have time but it looked nice and clean. "

"The hotel is dated. The tubs show wear. The tv's are small, cheap flat screen and only had two apps, Netflix and YouTube. TV Bluetooth wouldn't work, Remote lagged, and Chromecast wouldn't respond. Furniture is old. Two double beds instead queens. Maid service only every three days. I had to take my own trash out! Phone is old and sometimes wouldn't connect. A couple floors outside the elevator smelled like feces as there was a garbage can near by. Parking was atrocious. No free laundry. I only stayed b/c I work for the government and they are to cheap to pay for a Marriott or Hilton Grand. "
