9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,185 reviews)
I had to leave one night early because of an unexpected emergency. I contacted the hotel to request a refund for the unused night, but they refused and simply said the booking was non-refundable. Expedia advised me that the hotel had the option to refund the unused night, but the hotel chose not to.
On top of that, there was a dirty/unpleasant smell coming from the bed sheets, which made the room uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about cleanliness.
I was also charged for a phone service that I did not use, which was very frustrating. I should not have to pay for services I never used. And if they thinking calling a toll free Expedia number is a charge that is not very customer friendly.
Overall, I felt that the hotel was focused more on collecting every possible dollar than providing good customer service or taking care of its guests. Emergencies happen, and I expected at least some understanding and fairness.
I will not be returning to this hotel, and I would encourage other travelers to carefully consider these issues before booking. Very disappointing experience.

9.4/10 Exceptional! (162 reviews)
This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
As soon as we walked into our room, we found a cockroach and had to request a room change. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning.
Around midnight, I suddenly became extremely itchy while trying to sleep. When I turned on the lights to check, I found numerous ants crawling all over the bed. Since it was already 12 a.m. and my family was asleep, I tried to make do by sleeping on top of a towel. However, I kept finding more ants. Then I noticed a dead cockroach on the bed headboard, which was absolutely horrifying.
At that point, I couldn’t sleep at all and had to change rooms again in the middle of the night.
This level of cleanliness is completely unacceptable for any hotel. A guest should never have to deal with cockroaches, ants in the bed, and a room change after midnight. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience, and I would not stay here again.
