"Needed window coverings in bathroom.
Room very clean, a fresh remodel.
Older hotel that is being remodeled. Right on highway with car and train noise, but sound machine provided in room.
Outside a bit sketchy, hanging wires, lumber.
Room was on second floor. Appears that first floor rooms may have permanent tenants. "

"The decor is so cute. It's got a real log cabin feel to it. Staff were great! Breakfast is cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt with fruit; but only served until 9 a.m."
"I travel a lot for work and usually stay at the larger hotel chains because they’re familiar. This trip I decided to try the Ruby Hotel outside of Sandpoint, and I’m glad I did.
From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but the moment I walked into the lobby I felt welcome. The staff was incredibly friendly, check-in was easy, and the whole place had a cozy mountain-town feel.
My room was small, but in the best way possible. It felt comfortable, quiet, and relaxing after a long day on the road. The large window looking toward the mountains was a nice touch, and even my dog Kali settled in immediately.
What I liked most was that the Ruby Hotel isn’t trying to be a big resort or luxury property. It’s simply a clean, comfortable, welcoming place to stay.
If you’re looking for a place with character and a peaceful atmosphere near Sandpoint, I’d definitely recommend it. I’ll be staying here again."
"First stay with this property. Room was comfortable, although it was an "accessible", clearly offering different sizing. Bed was comfortable, TV good, A/C noisy -neighbors was equally loud. Window opens only about 4" so unable to take advantage of cool evening air. Breakfast buffet was quite nice, offering a variety of hot foods and cold assortments."
"The nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. Amazing front desk staff, bartender, and serving staff. The room we stayed in has a very modern, luxurious feel and is very spacious. The lobby and bar area is very inviting and a very comfortable atmosphere. The patios at the back and front of the building with their firetables was very relaxing and enjoyable!"
"Great place to hangout with family, playing cards on the deck, stairs down to the boat house/fire-pit/hot-tub area. We loved the dock which had plenty of chairs to sit out! We had a fun family get together."
Little house in the woods, close to the lake, town and mountain.
10/10 Excellent
"Tucked away off a quiet road is this little house in the woods! Close enough to all the places we wanted to go but a great place to chill and rest between activities. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here while visiting family in Sandpoint. The host had excellent and prompt communication and everything went smoothly from start to end! We enjoyed seeing deer, wild turkeys, chickens, and all kinds of beautiful wild flowers. I will definitely book here again if it’s available! Five stars all around!"
