We loved our time at Tuk Tuk Timbal Bungalows. We stayed in one of their traditional rooms, which we really enjoyed. Great menu available for all meals. Staff was super accommodating with transportation to and from Samosir. The passenger ferry will pick-up/drop-off directly at the property, so contact TukTuk ahead of time to make arrangements!

Nice property. Well maintained. The native living quarters need to be maintained a lot more or replace. Made of wood and rotting. Damp wood adds to not so pleasant ordors

Great stay relaxing and nice

Very cute bungalows Beautiful views. A walk to main area and no bikes for rent, we had to walk 10-15 mins to rent bikes and downtown area wasnt much anyway but there are great restaurants within 5 mins walk. Porch was nice and very cute dogs on property. The staff was friendly and helpful when ordering beers to room they helped us carry and brought them to us which we thought was so nice.

Compared with most of our accommodation experiences in Indonesia- this one now ranks high😀👍. We stayed in 2 of the traditional Batak houses on site (having chosen to extend our stay for extra days) Tranquil setting away from main hub - a place to really chill out & watch the boats, ferries & fishermen whilst reading & relaxing. Found the on-site dining v reasonably priced, a fair choice offered & portions were good-sized. Staff were accommodating & it looks like time, funds & effort are put into general maintenance 👍
