Nestled in nature with views of the Alabama Hills, Sierras and Inyo Mountains
10/10 Excellent
"The views were outstanding!!! Seeing the sunrise and the sunset each morning was great. The house was clean, and the fireplace and record player were fun. Very peaceful area and we enjoyed walking the property and sitting outside. Really nice table for an outside dinner. "
"Very cozy Property perfect for two people very clean very user-friendly. Had a barbecue with just the perfect barbecue space loved it will certainly return."
"This little cottage was a great find! Reasonably priced, clean, well-stocked kitchen, quiet neighborhood; comfortable bed, easy to check in, parking in front, one block from town. We've driven through Lone Pine for years on our way to Mammoth Lakes, but this time we decided to get to know this friendly little town. Highly recommend eating at Alabama Hills Cafe for breakfast and Seasons for dinner (be sure to make a reservation), where we had elk and salmon. Several things you must do while in Lone Pine: visit the Museum of Western Film History; drive through the Alabama Hills, check out the Mobius Arch, drive up to the Whitney Portal, and drive up to Horseshoe Meadows. Would stay here again!"
"Very clean, neat perfect-sized lodging. Very well stocked and all amenities work: A/C, heat, fridge, bathroom, sinks, cabinets, TV, WiFi, etc. Cell signal is good here. In the center of the famous Lone Pine town. Very-well priced. Very comfortable place/lodging. Awesome getaway location! "
The answer to a mystery that has puzzled scientists for decades lies in this dry lakebed, which is speckled with rocks that seem to move by themselves.
You can spend time studying the exhibits at Museum of Western Film History during your travels in Lone Pine. Discover the area's mountain views and seek out the hiking trails.
Preserved by its remoteness and the dry desert heat, the remains of an early 20th-century mine make it look as though it was abandoned just a few years ago.
Eastern Sierra InterAgency Visitor Center is just one of the places to see in Lone Pine, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? Discover the area's theatre scene or seek out its hiking trails.
