Fishing trip
We were in Salida to fish the Arkansas. Unfortunately for us, the river flow had been increased substantially a couple of days earlier, making wading almost impossible. But we adapted and had a good time fishing. The house was perfect for us to bed down at night.

Sweet Spot
We only stayed a few nights while we skied at Monarch, but the home was nice and well located. The only issue we had was the coffee maker didn't work well. Other than that, everything was great.

Quaint Getaway
Very clean, great location near F street but in a quiet neighborhood. It's a old home, very nicely renovated, but is drafty. We were glad for the space heaters provided. The listing says it sleeps 8, but we only counted room for 7 plus a crib. Beautiful outdoor living space in the back.

Such a nice relaxing home!
We had a great time at the Sweet Spot. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, and it was very quiet and comfortable. It’s within quick walking distance to the river and all the cute downtown shops and restaurants.

Perfect Salida Vibes
The Sweet Spot is comfortable, close to downtown, clean and Beautiful. We all very much enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was Very well equiped to cook, there is a beautiful backyard abd grill...also perfectly equiped. The owners Clearly care their Guests enjoybtheir Salida vacation!! The top deck off the master provides peaceful morning coffee relaxation!

Nice house close to everything
The house was as described. It is in a great location that allows you to walk anywhere downtown. It was cold so we did not use anything outside but that area looked like it would be great in the Spring. We had no problems. We would stay here again. My only suggestion which did not change the enjoyment of our stay is to move the check out to 11am. 10am is very early for any hotel or house.

Change of location - no problem
Due to a frozen pipe we were immediately informed about 2 substitute locations. Both looked great and the one we chose was fantastic. Our Pinon rep was super helpful and so nice to work with. We would book through them again for sure!

SWEET SPOT IS A DELIGHT! THE INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPACES ARE PERFECT-- COMFORTABLE AND SATISFYINGLY BEAUTIFUL. THE KITCHEN IS VERY WELL STOCKED, INCLUDING OLIVE OIL AND SALT. THE BEDROOMS HAVE GREAT BEDS, ENOUGH DRAWER/HOOK SPACE, AND EXCELLENT PILLOWS AND BEDDING. THE SHOWER IS A DREAM. I CAME WITH TWO FRIENDS FOR A WRITER'S RETREAT AND WE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH OUR TEMPORARY HOME.

This house is walking distance from downtown Salida and 25 minutes from Monarch Mountain, a great adventure destination. I would highly recommend this house for a family wanted to enjoy the outdoors and also the great restaurants and town of Salida.

We had an amazing family vacation in Salida! Would not have been possible with such a wonderful and convenient house to stay in. Look out windows and see majestic mountains, walk to great playgrounds, grocery stores, restaurants, or river walk. Or stay in and be cozy. Thank you!

Great Location, Stay Longer
Very nice and clean place. Perfect for a weekend or longer stay. Within walking distance to all of downtown Salida so we never had to worry about parking or anything. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Great Place for the Price
Stayed at this property with my wife, our dog and some friends. We had a great time and enjoyed the place. It is very close to downtown and walking distance to restaurants. Also, easy access to the highway and about 25-30 mins from Monarch. The price was right and beat staying in a hotel.

Great Location
This is a perfect location for doing all things in Salida. Easy walking access to downtown food and shopping. The house is older but the up keep is great. Plenty of room to spread out after a long day skiing. House is well stocked. The heating can be finicky but worked.

House furniture is so outdated. Literally most uncomfortable living room space ever. Oven is set to Celsius and no warming so we burnt Christmas dinner trying to use the stove.

Great location Clean place considering built in 1904. Updates are appreciated.
Everything was awesome Stairs are a little tricky with big suitcase but the upstairs patio rocks. Backyard immaculate Wish we had time to use it more.

The listing photos are accurate. Stairs, however, are narrow and steep. My dog slid all the way down the first time. He wasn't allowed back upstairs again.

This property was nice and clean and within walking distance of all things downtown. There were beds for 6, 2 queens and 2 twins. The couch that folded out to a bed was not comfortable however.

Nice house, great location.
The yard and second story balcony were great. This property would be especially nice during 4th of July, where the fireworks show would be wonderful. The bathroom on the second floor was awesome, especially the shower. We enjoyed our stay.

Really great property and location cannot be beat.
Very great place to stay. Will definitely try and book again. Walking distance to everything downtown Salida. Biking right out the front door to S-Mountain trail system and short drive to others. Really enjoyed the stay here with the family and being able to bring our dogs was a bonus too. Thanks for making it such an easy process. This is how they all should be.

Cute home, convenient location
The property was a lovely, historic home with nice amenities. Location is great, home was comfortable and clean. The backyard is very nicely manicured with several seating areas. The only downside is that the house had a smell to it similar to stale cigarette smoke - not intense but there. Would definitely stay again.

Great family base for a ski getaway!
Sweet spot was definitely as-billed: a "sweet spot" to recover from the day on the slopes. Walking distance to Salida shops and restaurants and a short drive to Monarch mountain. Charming home with everything you need for a family. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our time at the property! The house has a lot of character and is just as cute as the pictures make it look. The location is great to walk to dinner and drinks! The backyard was perfect to enjoy the warm weather with everyone. The beds were comfortable and having the day bed in a room next to the living room instead of being in a common area was a great addition. The day bed was smaller than expected but having the privacy was very nice. It was great to find a dog friendly Vrbo! Would definitely stay again.

Came to Salida for quick weekend ski/snowboarding
Stayed Fri-Sun. Didn’t get to enjoy much of Salida, came for a quick weekend to Monarch Mt. “The Sweet Spot” house was perfect. Location to to town and Mt. we are out both nights. Fabulous Mexican restaurant . Dogs loved the fenced in Yard( although we did pick up more poo than was ares., some people need to follow rules). No worries we were glad to leave the house fabulous for the next renters. Thank you to Terry for her quick response to getting furnace fixed immediately. She was great to work with. The house was stocked with more than enough quilts extra heaters and everything that it stated on reservation post. We would definitely stay again and to actually visit the town in the summer and enjoy the surroundings. My adult son gives it 5 stars for having his go to favorite DVD and streaming movie channels

The house was great. The amount rooms was nice. Very clean and tidy. The upstairs shower was great! We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t use the fire pit outside. We were very excited about it on the way up there. Thank you for letting us stay there.
