Bryn Mawr Vineyards Gatehouse

An authentic vineyard stay at the Bryn Mawr Vineyards Gatehouse! Nestled on the 40-acre estate of Bryn Mawr Vineyards, you can’t get closer to Oregon Wine Country than this. This newly remodeled home at the gateway to Bryn Mawr's sustainable vineyard is about living in the moment. It’s a house that is about a good bottle of wine paired with good friends, a house you can enjoy because it lets you be part of life and the balance of nature.

The Gatehouse's grand entryway harkens back to the old country, featuring a 20-foot-high wood ceilinged tower with a majestic wine barrel chandelier.  French doors open to a terrace-covered courtyard with a bistro table that's the perfect spot to enjoy that ideal Oregon evening with your favorite bottle or the best place to sip your morning coffee and take in the natural beauty of the Willamette Valley.

The first floor is perfect for movie night -- with a luxurious leather sofa that converts to a queen-sized bed, two oversized armchairs and a large flat-screen TV with Streaming Services included. The open-concept second floor boasts a well-appointed kitchen, with beautiful granite countertops, brand-new appliances, and everything needed to prepare a family meal or vineyard brunch. After a day of exploring, pour yourself a glass of Bryn Mawr's award-winning pinot noir, and enjoy a great meal at the dining room table with breathtaking vineyard views or on the back patio nestled amidst the vines.  Sip and socialize in the cozy conversation nook with a couch and two rocking armchairs, a perfectly relaxing way to end a perfect day.

The Gatehouse welcomes up to six guests comfortably, with two primary second-floor bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a queen-sized sofa bed on the first floor.  Each bedroom features a queen-sized bed, hotel-quality linens, and luxury amenities. The deluxe en-suite bathrooms are beautifully designed with tiled showers and ample counter space. The first-floor sofa converts into a comfy queen-sized bed, with a half bath down the hall.  We also provide hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, and locally crafted soap bars, as well as luxurious towels and many other bathroom essentials for each guest.

Traveling with a four-legged companion? The Gatehouse and property are dog friendly. We do ask guests to keep their pups on leash any time they are out, and of course, practice responsible pet ownership by cleaning up after them. You might even see some other four-legged friends during your visit. Bryn Mawr’s serene setting means the neighborhood deer occasionally enjoy a stroll through vineyards. The area is also known to host coyotes, so it’s always recommended that pets do not wander outside alone at night.

Perfect for a small family or up to three couples, the Bryn Mawr Gatehouse puts guests at the heart of Oregon Wine Country with endless opportunities to explore. Sip your way through the neighborhood at Zenith Vineyard, Bjornson Vineyard, and Bethel Heights Vineyards just up the road. Bryn Mawr is located only 8 miles outside of the quaint town of Amity or 12 outside the state capitol of Salem, complete with a charming historic downtown and vibrant Saturday farmer’s market that runs from spring through early fall.

Coming on a Friday night? Bryn Mawr Vineyards is now offering an amazing 6-course wine pairing dinner series called Peak Harvest!

Inspired by a seasonal wine flight, James Beard Nominee Chef Jonathan Jones will unleash his creative genius through a tasting menu that celebrates the best of the valley's bounty. Hyper-local Ingredients will be harvested at their 'peak,' evolving monthly with the seasons and paired alongside Bryn Mawr's best wines.

This will be taking place every Friday evening at 6 PM in the tasting room, from now through August. Let our staff know if you would like to book and we will assist in providing a member's discounted rate for being a guest staying at the Bryn Mawr Gatehouse.

Traveling with little ones? Family items such as baby gates, high chairs, and pack 'n plays are available for rent for a small one-time rental fee, making your packing needs a little easier for your stay. Simply inquire with our concierge team for availability.

Additional rental items are also available to rent upon request, such as yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games (bocce ball, croquet, ladder toss). Not seeing what you're needing? Ask our team and we will be happy to see if we can make it happen for you!

The house was the best for our family! Lots of open space and lots of windows for natural light. Quiet and in the midst of countryside and vineyards. We truly enjoyed our stsy

Fantastic property - too many restrictions

The property itself was amazing. Looked terrific, modern amenities, nicely stocked for our visit. Truly wonderful. And they were responsive when we had an issue! The downside was their rules and restrictions. After making the reservation, they sent us several pages of rules. We wanted to have a BBQ for 10-15 people one afternoon (and it would have been a PERFECT location for it), and they wanted to charge us $950 extra!!! Really put a sour taste in my mouth, but, if that doesn't bother you, the property was fantastic!

Worst experience ever- but great location

This house is located in a beautiful area. Unfortunately the property management is horrible! They do not clean sheet between renters. We found a dirty used bandage within the sheets with blood on it. Found piles of food debris in laundry room and throughout the house. There was hair covering pillows and bedding. Found food particles in salt containers. Management team even after sending someone out and us having everything saved for them in a pile, along with pictures, still tried to blame customer. Horrible experience. Will not recommend.

Amazing Views

We stayed at the Gatehouse for a week. Wasn't the best weather (rained almost every day) but the house made it worthwhile! It is in a wonderful setting amongst the Salem vineyards on a quiet country road. The way the house was set up was perfect. The lower entry into the mudroom is adjoined with the living room for enjoying the TV at the end of the day. Only concern was there was no availability on the TV to local stations, but we worked through that. The Kitchen, dining room on the second level was good for sitting around and enjoying the fantasic views of the Salem area. The kitchen design was good and very manageable for the three of us. The access to the patio in the back was good. We had our two pups with us and access to the lawn area was very easy. Would have been nice to have a fenced in area to let the pups roam a bit off leash, but we made it work. The two bedrooms up the short flight of stairs were very good. The room the wife and I slept in was very good and the mattress was so soft that it made it difficult to get up in the morning for me to go to work. The second room was ok, the bed creaked quite a bit at night where I our daughter slept. Our trip up the hill to the winery was beyond fantastic, even though it rained the entire time. The views of the valley to the east and west were extremely good. The wine was just as good as the view. We had a great time and will be back many more times!
