Salamumu Beach Tours and Activities

You won’t get closer to the beach or a more beautiful view to wake up to. We stayed with our two kids and hired a car to get around the island. We cannot wait to come back. The kids loved snorkelling.

Staff were excellent at sorting out issues with our room. Great pool, friendly and helpful staff, good views from room, good variety of food at breakfast buffet.

Didn’t get off to a good start with staff approaching us asking if we were day guests when we arrived early and were waiting for our room to be ready. Then the door handle on one of our rooms was broken and unable to lock. They attempted to fix it and ended up upgrading our room as I was unhappy that the lock did not work. My 5 year old son absconds as he has autism so we needed to ensure his safety. Regardless, we did not expect to be hassled by staff about being day guests and we did not need to worry about having adequate safety while on holiday. After the bad start, staff were lovely and accommodating. The food was okay but I would’ve preferred to have more authentic Samoan food on the menu. We had to leave the resort to find authentic Samoan food which we didn’t want to do. The upgraded room we were provided had a toilets that gurgled and one toilet that exploded and drenched our belongings, a broken toilet seat and broken kitchen utensils. We also requested no cleaning service one day and they still came through anyways. The fiafia nights were amazing, the performers are very talented and engaging. I don’t think we would go back to RTP due to maintenance issues and feeling like we shouldn’t have been there. It is also approx 1 hours from Apia which was a bit too far for us. The general demographic seemed to be older adults >60years old and families. The resort itself is very nice with beautiful scenery
