Absolutely loved it here. Peaceful, pretty and welcoming. The champagne was lovely and not over priced in the mini bar. Only suggestion eould be to include tea and cofee making favilities on the room. Would definitely return.
We spent a relaxing couple of nights on our way back from the Alps in this charming property. Our duplex room was spacious, light and spotless with views across the vineyards. The beds and bedding were the most comfortable of our whole holiday and the staff were friendly and helpful, - recommending convenient places to park and eat in Reims. A peaceful and convenient location on the outskirts of Reims- a city which we will definitely visit again - the village of Saint-Thierry itself was picturesque. We especially enjoyed our Lemaire champagne tour and tasting which was made all the easier being conducted in impeccable English and with no pressure at all to buy. We couldn't not of course, it was so delicious! We'd not hesitate to recommend Le Clos du Mont d'Hor and would happily stay again.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
We had to leave because the heat was too much. The property had no air conditioning, and the temperature was over 100 degrees F. The property had contacted other guests to warn them and let them cancel. We were not given the same option. We have been told that we will not receive a refund. If this is the case, we will never book through Expedia again, and we will make sure everyone knows why.
The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly.
The rooms were spacious and clean.
The surrounding countryside was lovely and peaceful.
All with the added extra of a very educational and interesting tour of the Champagne production on the premises.
Magical place in the middle of a working vineyard. Our room was large, clean with the most comfortable bed of our entire trip (multiple B&B’s). We had a view over the vineyard, with a beautiful church in the distance. We were greeted by the owner, who was so warm and friendly- making the stay more than just a place to stay the evening. Wonderful French breakfast worth taking advantage of. We’ll definitely be back and plan to stay longer next time! A great base of operations for touring the region.
We have found our two hours from Calais stopover location and a great B&B close to the A26 but far enough away to give you a true, Champagne region experience. Super accommodation, good minimalist breakfast and fantastic location - on edge of St Thierry village.
Love the hotel and experience of my stay being surrounded by vineyards. The hosts are warm and genuine in welcoming all their guests. I was upgraded to a lovely room with view of the vineyard and monastery at the distance. All guests were invited for a complimentary tour and champagne tasting the next morning after breakfast.
Everything in my experience exceeded expectations. The only downside I could think of is that you would need to have a car to get there, or at least all the guests that were there during my stay came by car.
O hotel é excelente, o quarto é lindo, tem uma vista maravilhosa, tudo muito limpo, um café da manhã delicioso, tudo preparado com muito cuidado. Quero voltar para a região e com certeza ficarei no mesmo hotel!
Me and my family stayed only for a night (shame...) here, but we absolutely loved it. The peace and quiet of the country side, the amazingly welcoming and friendly staff, delicious champagne makibg tour and not to mention the beautiful location. I was so happy that I booked this property instead of staying I think the town centre as we got to experience all the beauty of local champagne essence! Highly recommend it!! Thanks Lemaire!!
What a lovely place to stay! This bed and breakfast is set in a rural location on an actual champagne working farm. Although it’s in a rural setting it is right outside of the city of Reims and extremely close to the highway.
If you take a left out of their driveway you can take a wonderful road trip down the tourist champagne route and meander through the beautiful vineyards and towns associated with the Champagne region. If you take a right you’ll end up in Reims where the beautiful Cathedral is and there are many restaurants and shops! The staff is amazing as are the owners at this bed-and-breakfast and they give you a tour and tasting of their champagne which was very helpful for me! Champagne is excellent as I’m sure you will find out!
Keep in mind this is definitely a place that you would want to have a car!
Unique venue, small, rural hotel in very good condition. Beautiful location on the property of a small, working commercial vineyard. Provided with complementary champagne tasting and champage history tutorial presented by very knowledgable, gracious young woman. Friendly dogs were a bonus!!
