"Overall we loved this property. We loved that it was walkable to downtown. The house was clean and adequate for what we needed. We liked being able to see the deer in the lot next door in the evenings. The hot tub was a nice bonus after a long day of hiking. The only negatives would be that the split unit installed in the bedroom did very little to cool the entire house, especially with the sun beating on the house during the day. It would have been nice to have more table top fans available or screens for the sliding doors so we could leave them wide open to let in a breeze. Also, there was not really anywhere to put our suitcase other than a sitting chair in the corner. We only used the hot tub once because it was such a chore to take the cover off with the makeshift straps and the weight of the cover itself. Overall, we were happy with the rental but some “quality of life” changes could be made to make things more comfortable for future guests."

"We stayed here with a group of the VIPs for my wedding and it was absolutely amazing!I used to live in Ashe County and I can think of a better view of both Mt. Jefferson and Phoenix Mountain. We had two minor issues - one with a ceiling fan and once the internet went out. However, the on-call maintenance was very quick to respond and address the issue. The hot tub was awesome - has to seat at least 10. The house is simply beautiful and has everything you need for large families or groups to be able to stay in one place. Will be staying again!"
