Hotel bar staff were not very attentive, serving another customer first, after taking our order. Hotel is not worth £300 a night on a weekday. Is simply too big for that price point (ie. not exclusive enough). Other than that, the hotel got the job done for a one night stay. This place is special and wonderful for any length of time. The secret spot is the Garden. You’ll have to see it to believe it. "The hotel is in good shapes. Some could receive more maintenance, i.e Secret Garden (fountain)...

"Great stay overall. There was plenty to do around Rochester, making it a great location. The only downside was that our room was close to the train station, so it could be a little noisy at times. However, the receptionist was attentive, friendly, and polite, which made us feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again."
