Louisette à la Rivière

"Louisette à la Rivière" is a unique house in Reunion Island: dating from 1860, located on the St Louis River, at an altitude of 200 metres, at the end of a small cul-de-sac, this authentic Creole house combines all the charm and cachet of the old with modern comfort.
Built in the middle of a lush tropical garden, the house consists of a large double living room, a winter dining room, a fully equipped kitchen with its working popcorn machine.
At the front of the house a large covered terrace with a table football allows you to make large tables. A gas plancha next to this terrace will give you the opportunity to have a barbecue party!
In the main house, there is a master suite with a large bedroom ventilated by a ceiling light that opens onto a modern bathroom with a large rain shower and toilet.
A second terrace on the side of the house with an outdoor bathtub allows you to take baths for two while sipping a glass of champagne in the middle of cacti and palm trees with the sea in the distance.
A second bedroom in a "cabin" spirit opens onto this terrace. Small but very functional, this room has its own shower room. This romantic and very cosy room will appeal to adults and children alike, it is air-conditioned.
In the extension of this terrace you can access the swimming pool area with its deck where there is a double area: a shaded lazing area with its deckchairs and camp bed and a dining or aperitif area. A large Balinese bed also allows you to take a nap by the pool .
The salt pool made of natural stones is heated and allows you to swim all year round in water that oscillates between 28 and 30 degrees .
Spending a few days at Louisette's is like touching a piece of the history of Reunion Island "for a long time" by offering you a break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The St Louis River is a typical village in the interior of the island, whose geographical location allows access to many tourist sites: the cirque of Cilaos is 45 minutes away, the forest of Makes and its astronomical observatory is 20 minutes away, the city of St Pierre and its lagoon is 20 minutes away.
