Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is a town in the Basque Country of western France. It lies along the Pyrenees foothills by Nive river. It is the traditional starting point for the Camino de Santiago via the French route and most popular route for pilgrims to walk to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

Loved, loved, loved our stay here prior to starting the Camino. It was clean, had a beautiful garden, breakfast was great, but most importantly it was peaceful. ❤️
