El Camino

Magnificent 26-acre waterfront property just off the Potomac River. This secluded, quiet, waterfront oasis guesthouse is the perfect weekend retreat. There is 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom in the house. There is also a pullout couch. There is a large dock for hanging out / sunbathing. There is not a full kitchen, but there is an outdoor grill and coffee. You are surrounded by nature - this is a true escape! If you're looking for the perfect weekend getaway, this is it! *Wifi is spotty! Do not rely on it!*

The space:
El Camino sits between the main house and a barn. The main house is a separate rental property. The barn will be locked and is not for guest's use. Please take a look at the arial photos at the end of the listing to see the proximity of the main house to El Camino. There is a front porch that overlooks Jutland Creek which leads out to the Potomac River. The dock beautiful - there are always eagles, osprey and heron flying across the water; crabs and fish swimming by the dock, and very few properties in sight. It is a very peaceful getaway.

Guest access:
Guests have access to the grounds and the shared dock. They do not have access to the main house or the porch on the main house.

I absolutely loved my stay! The house was cozy, comfortable, and I felt completely safe during my time there. I especially enjoyed the peaceful sounds of nature all around. The pier was beautiful and such a relaxing spot, and the tree swing quickly became one of my favorite parts of the property. Everything about this place made it the perfect getaway. Just a small tip—bring mosquito repellent to fully enjoy the outdoors!

Beautiful Cabin Getaway

Everything I could expect about a secluded cabin was there for me with the El Camino rental. It was the perfect location on the water and with so much peace and quiet.

Great little cabin

We stayed here while my daughter checked out St. Mary's College. Nice secluded cabin that was very clean. I would love a simple cabin like this when I retire. The sunset from the dock was beautiful. The bigger house to rent was closer than I was expecting but it was not rented while we were there.

The El Camino property was awesome!

The property was secluded but well kept. There's plenty of restaurants within driving distance. The property was quaint and minimalistic but provided all needs for a quiet weekend getaway. We'll definitely stay again!

Kayaking and Relaxing

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy being outside (with cool AC inside). View of the water from the cabin, great porch to hang out on, loved the easy access to the water for kayaking.

The perfect little cabin and retreat

My kids and I brought our paddleboards and loved exploring the water. My son (almost 12) was excited about and fully entertained by the crab traps and jellyfish. The property and area is so quiet and peaceful. The variety of birds was magical. It was the perfect getaway. for us

Awesome get away spot!

Nice short getaway with the wife at this lovely cabin. Very relaxing and peaceful in a great setting. Only downside was not being able to enjoy the dock as there was another family with kids that occupied it most of the time that was staying at the other cabin on the property. Also, not a clear view of the water from the porch due to the trees but all in all it was a great stay.

Little slice of heaven

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I. The ease of check in, the viewnof the water, the amenities, all made our 10 year wedding anniversary so relaxing. Even the the crew staying in the main house for one of the guys 35th birthday made for some good old free entertainment!

Peaceful Oasis

What a peaceful little oasis along the water! My daughter and I stayed here for a swim meet at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. It was a perfect distance from the college, about 5 minutes. The house was very clean, modern, eloquently decorated and equipped with kitchen basics. The bed was very comfortable, which is bonus when staying away from home. The doc was so beautiful and we enjoyed sitting and watching the ducks in the afternoons. We will definitely return when it is warmer and highly recommend this wonderful home!

The place was phenomenal. Very clean. Very awesome to stay there. If you ever want to see the most beautiful sunset you have to go there. Plus the fishing was a lot of fun. Me and my husband really enjoyed the few days that we were there. Communication very good people. Very nice! That stayed next to us. I would definitely go back

Great Spot

El Camino fit our needs perfectly. We moved our daughter in to the dorms ant St. Mary’s and El Camino provided with a home base that was close to campus. The cabin is very nice, private and well appointed. It provided us with a vacation feel during the down time when our daughter had orientation, etc. if it is available next time we come, we will definitely stay.

Cute clean cabin for a couple/solo stay

This is a perfect little cabin for a couple. The photos listed are a very accurate depiction. We stayed two nights. We traveled here for a wedding so we really only used the cabin as a place to sleep/shower, but would love to come back to enjoy the area. The kitchen area has a coffee machine (grounds, not k-cup), a toaster, microwave, mini fridge. The cabin was very clean and the host communicated well.

Perfect Getaway!

Everything was perfect with his little cabin. It was spotless and had everything we needed. Due to the weather, we couldn't use the firepit and enjoy the beautiful yard, but it was very well maintained. The owner/manager was especially thoughtful when we had to change our date due to a family emergency. We are very much looking forward to renting it again for another getaway!
