VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS!!! No home on the island comes close to offering you the breathtaking views seen from our home. Relax on the front porch and admire the surreal low country marshlands. Take in the awe inspiring St Helena Sound and Atlantic Ocean from the back porch. Soak in the picturesque vista of Harbor River from the north end of the house. Watch breathtaking sunsets from your balcony that can only be described as surreal. Folks arrive an hour early to get a spot on the beach just to watch it set but you have a front row seat from your porch! Every room offers unparalleled views. Seriously, pick a room and smile :). The beach at our house is sparse, quiet and calm. RELAX RELAX RELAX. It feels as though you are on your own private island. The home has it's very own boardwalk to the beach. Walk right out the back door to paradise. The house has 4 Bedrooms, 3 1/2 Bath plus outside heated shower for rinsing off the salt and sand, Sleeps 12, Downstairs Master (Beachwalk) on suite with King and views of the beach and entrance to screened in porch. Upstairs Master (Ocean View) on suite with King and private balcony with breathtaking views of the sound, ocean and Harbor River. Queen Bedroom (Sunset) with double bunk beds with amazing views of the Harbor Bridge. Another Queen Bedroom (Harbor Marsh) with double bunk beds with stunning views of the marshlands. Open floor concept with Kitchen (Stainless Steel Appliances), Dining Room and Living Room all with gorgeous views. Washer/Dryer, Four car garage, GOLF CART included FREE! The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Thank you so much for staying with us. Check out is at 10:00 AM. Place all used bed linens in a pile by their beds. Please start a load of towels. Load the dishwasher.
You will be automatically logged out of any streaming services. Place keys back in the outside lockbox. Make sure golf cart is plugged in and charging. Place garbage in outside garbage shed.
If you used the kayaks, please rinse them off and strap them back into place on the garage wall. Please follow any other instructions texted to you before your arrival.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Divine Sunsets

We had a lovely trip and the property was comfortable, homey and very clean. We were treated to the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. We enjoyed time at the state park and a carriage ride in Beaufort, this is a great home to spend a family vacation.

Perfect getaway

This is the second year my family has stayed at this beach house for our summer vacation. The location is perfect! The owners are great and super easy to communicate with. We have everything we need and the house is so clean. We look forward to coming back next year!

Perfect Family Vacation

This was our second time visiting the Hampton House. It is the perfect spot for our family, with things to do for all ages! The kids loved playing in the ocean, finding hermit crabs on the beach, and taking golf cart rides. The grandparents enjoyed walks on the beach and relaxing on the screen porch. Thank you, Derrick, for sharing your home with us!

The house was great. The water pressure or temperature was never an issue even with all the showers going at once. Well kept inside and out of property. Private beach was excellent with only a few people passing by periodically. We will definitely be back!

Great views!!

The property was everything I had hoped it would be. When our daughter's family pulled into the driveway, our six-year-old granddaughter said it was the "house of her dreams." Derrick was very responsive to all my questions. The views from the living area and the rest of the house were the BEST!!! Great location!!! Fantastic house!!

Beautiful Get Away

We had a great week at the Hampton House. The house had everything we needed and then some for a perfect stay, nice, clean, and relaxing. Being on the beach and watching the dolphins, hermit crabs, fiddler crabs and sunsets. We also used the pool and gym. Went to Hunting State Park. and it has a great visitor's center, and went to both North and South beaches while we were there. We all had a great time. Thank you Hamptons!!

Above Expectations

This property was exclusively isolated at the end of the beach which had little traffic and felt almost completely private. The home had ocean views from every window. Included with the stay were kayaks, beach gear, and park passes all a great surprise! This home was kid and toddler friendly/ready which made the experience enjoyable and safe. We safe dolphins everyday right off the soft sandy beach. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning.

Perfect Family Vacation!

The Hampton House was perfect for our 3-generation family of 6 adults and 5 young children (ages 19 months to 6 years). From morning walks on the beach to watching the kids play on the private shoreline, the experience seemed like a scene from a movie. We enjoyed exploring the island with golf cart rides, and the kayaks provided lots of fun for all ages! The dolphins and birds following the shrimp boats provided daily entertainment, as did “Hermie” and his fellow hermit crabs. Derrick's welcoming home provided the perfect setting for our family vacation! Thank you for a wonderful first experience with the relaxing atmosphere of Harbor Island!

Wonderful place to stay

The pictures and descriptions given by the owner are very accurate, and this is a perfect place to stay if you want a little more seclusion from the crowded beaches of the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand area. I doubt that you could get better views of both the marsh and ocean/river from any other house, and the two nights that the clouds cooperated provided a couple of spectacular sunsets. This was our 14 month old grandson's first beach trip, and he thoroughly enjoyed the beach and the kiddie pool in the community area. The golf cart that is provided allowed all six of us to ride around the community to sight see and go to the pool. The screened in back deck was a great place to sit and relax, and this house checked off all the boxes for what we wanted this year in a beach trip. My communication with Derrick was great, as he was very responsive to questions and provided helpful and thorough instructions for check in and check out. So all in all, we had an awesome week in an awesome house!

Hampton House was an antidote to busy beach blues!

This house is very charming, comfortable, well equipped, and so well located in a nice, quiet neighborhood right next to Hunting Island State Park. The view is lovely with a nice sunrise and sunset experience. The walk to the beach on the board walk is short making a beach day so much less difficult than other locations. You can come and go between the beach and the house as much as you need to with or without carrying your gear and without competing for space or overhearing your beach neighbors' conversations! And those preferring to stay in the comfort of the house can enjoy the view and the beach breezes from the screened in porch. The house comes with kayaks and accessories, which we really enjoyed using to explore the shore of Harbor Island. Lots of wildlife in and out of the water - dolphins, hermit crabs, crabs, other fish, and critters, pelicans, birds of various kinds. My son caught a speckled trout on shore. We ate dinner and had our coffees and games on the screened in porch during the rain, and went back out to the beach when it was dry. The owners were helpful providing any information we needed. We would go back to this house to spend more time!

Great property.

Our family, two adults with little kids, stayed here for a week. The house is as described. Very nice. Spacious. Clean. Everything you need is there and everything worked well. Nice views from every window and it's great to be right on the beach. Also really great to have beach toys, chairs and towels at the house ready to use. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a very nice home on a quiet beach. We are experienced world travelers who have stayed in all manner of accommodations. I wouldn't hesitate to book this one. We enjoyed being able to let our kids run and run on the beach without feeling like we had to be near them all the time. There were very few people and because of the location, there really are no waves. When the tide is out it's mucky, but our kids thought that was fun. There are also little baby crabs all over. Especially up by the house. Our kids enjoyed watching them and by the end of the week were even brave enough to pick them up. Lot's of laughs about the crabs. We enjoyed the pool and went almost every day. If you go, visit the pool store as the people running it are very friendly. Having the golf cart ready to go was great and we enjoyed riding to the pool in it. Wonderful that it's provided and hassle free. We also used the included park pass a couple times to visit Hunting State Park. That's definitely a don't miss. Beautiful beach and park. All the restaurants close to the house are for fried seafood. Our family doesn't eat fried food so we had no options nearby other than a pizza place which had decent pizza and the staff was very friendly. Some people may love fried seafood and if so, you'll have a lot to choose from. For us, we just would have planned differently had we known this. This isn't a negative, just something we wish we would have known as we would have planned some dinners at the house. We did travel into Beaufort (25-30 mins door to door) and had a few nice meals there. Lovely town.

Family Vacation

We had a great week at the property. Everything you could want was included. We had some issues with the golf cart and Derrick was super responsive and helpful. We saw so much marine life and everyone is so welcoming on the island. Would stay here again!

Harbor Island is perfect for a quiet getaway. This house is very spacious with amazing views, tucked away on the backside of the island. The host is also very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Property

A beautiful home with an even more beautiful view! We loved the porches and watching the wildlife. The neighborhood is quiet and the location of the home gave us both sunrise and sunset views.

Beautiful home on the beach

we had 12 people in our party and the house worked great. Bedrooms , kitchen and living space were great. lots of beach stuff supplied which was wonderful. Watching the dolphins and shrimp boats was fun. Great host. Booked 2 yrs ago so my only negative would be that the pictures need to be updated. There is now a house on one side and one being built on the other.Noise from tools, workers and music 8 am-5 was disappointing. We realize this is temporary but a heads up would have been nice. Doubt it would have caused us to change our plans.

Beautiful spot!

Booked this with a group of friends for a weekend getaway. We saw the shrimp boats trolling around from the kitchen table views and watched beautiful sunsets from the great screened in porch. The home is as described with plenty of room. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals and golf cart to drive down to the pickle ball courts. Derrick was responsive and accommodating and would book again.
