Apartments in Saint-François

"Check in and out was excellent and well organised and the apartment was clean and tidy. However, there was a lot that could have been improved in the apartment and within the complex. The washing machine didn't work, and there were no basic commodities for us to use. We got 1 spare toilet roll for a 10 day stay, no dishwasher tablets,(or detergent for the washing machine) no dishcloth or plug in the kitchen sink, no basics like salt and pepper and oil for cooking. The fridge was very old and had no door on the freezer compartment. The lounge seating was really uncomfortable and if there were more than 2 people staying there wouldn't be enough for everyone. There were no comfy chairs on the balcony, just hard dining chairs. The complex is very run down (I winced every time we walked up the rickety stairs to the apartment!) but the pool and beach were nice. "

"The villa and its surroundings were truly beautiful, and we initially looked forward to an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, we encountered a significant issue: one or more rats had nested inside the kitchen cabinets and drawers. This resulted in droppings on utensils, pans, and plates, making the kitchen unsanitary and effectively unusable.This situation caused considerable stress throughout our stay and forced us to avoid using the kitchen entirely, leaving us with no choice but to eat out for all meals. It had a substantial negative impact on our overall experience."

"Our host, Claudine who welcomed us was most amiable and helpful. The beach close by resembled an imagined paradise at various times during the day. Mornings before 10am and late afternoon by 4pm were peaceful with less people. Wonderful!However, all people we came across were good people. The restaurant on the beach offered snacks, sweets, breakfast, lunch and gourmet evening meals. We enjoyed a fabulous evening meal and a breakfast. We enjoyed being able to prepare food in our cozy apartment. Everything we needed was there in the kitchen. Great stay!"

"The property is set in a beautiful garden with a lovely pool. My daughter and I arrived late evening 23rd December by taxi from the airport. We had code for keysafe but no key in it! We rang the owner and she came over- she had obviously forgotten our booking and put us in a sub-standard room. It ooked out over a kind of patchy yard at the back of the building (not terrible, but not a view of the garden others had). Definitely not like the photos. A sheet but no covers and chilly at night. No bedside lamps.Our hostess gave us a loaf of cheap white bread, some crisps and a pineapple - by now 10.30-11pm. Not ideal. The reception are was then closed for the rest of our stay (we left on 27th). Breakfast was supposed to be included (or at least available at the property) but there was NONE and the local supermarket was closed on 25th. I eventually saw the hostess on 26th. When I asked about breakfast she said there wouldn't be any that day or on the 27th. She told me - quite rudely - that I could walk to the local boulangerie (of course I knew that and it was a really good one - but we had signed up for breakfast). There was a gorgeous beach not far away (30 mins walk) but the first mile or so of the road was NOT ideal, busy with speedy traffic and no pavement etc. Car is essential in Guadeloupe but I wasn't comfortable as 2 women driving 40km in the dark on first night. NOT right to be without ANY SERVICE over Christmas. At a minimum inform guests of this."

"Nous ne recommendons pas cette propriété.Attention, la propriété est bruyante car la maison est localisée juste derrière un grand centre d'événements Anacardier. Nous avons séjourné 14 jours et la dernière nuit a été catastrophique, il y a avait un grand mariage et du bruit extrêmement fort toute la journée et surtout la nuit, jusqu'à environ 2h du matin. Nous avons contacté la police. Alors assurez-vous qu'il n'y a pas de grands événements à cet endroit durant votre séjour.En ce qui concerne la propriété:Points Positifs:-Magnifique piscine et cour extérieure-Très proprePoints Négatifs:- Cela a prit plus d'une heure de trouver la propriété, la localisation n'est pas adéquate.-Loin des plages (25min one way à pieds la plus proche Manganao) et chiens errants, donc marche impossible. -Les propriétaires nous ont rapproché des bris sur leur BBQ car selon eux, nous avons ouvert trop de noix de coco sur les pierres.Le propriétaire lui-même est venu nous montrer comment les ouvrir, avec un long couteau, sur les pierres du BBQ. Nous les avons ouvert sur le côté de la maison et non sur le BBQ.- Nous avons eu du bruit et des odeurs de cigarettes provenant des voisins. -Le propriétaire est venu sonner et faire une visite sans avoir prévenu, ce qui a dérangé notre séjour.-Le 2e étage sent beaucoup l'humidité, l'odeur était très désagréable"
