"Check-in was easy and the room was reasonably clean, but there was no hand soap or shower gel. The front desk staff member with glasses was curt when this was brought to her attention, although another colleague resolved the issue quickly. At checkout, when asked about my experience, I mentioned that the bed was noisy and uneven. The same staff member appeared to take the comment personally rather than as feedback. A more professional response is generally expected from front desk staff in the hospitality industry, particularly in France."

"Wonderful view of the quayside from our balcany. Old fashioned charm. Fabulous new shower. No safe, no minibar, no kettle, no air con. These would have made our stay better, but we knew what to expect."
