Cute and clean small hotel in the 9th arr about a 15m walk to the Palais Garnier and 15m walk to Montmarte. The service is friendly and accommodating. The rooms were small but expected for Paris. The breakfast service was good and a nice way to start the day.

9.2/10 Wonderful! (251 reviews)
The property is relatively modern with a contemporary look. We felt quite hip. They sent us a questionaire to fill out ahead of time which could speed check in. It was not practical to use the date input so I just used the default setting. That resulted in a chocalate bar waiting in our room as the check in date was my birthday! Just hours old and I got a lovely gift. (I left it there as I felt I did not earn it.) The rooms are small but the bed was big. There was ground coffee for the morning which was nice. But no creamer, nor a mini fridge for storing food or meds. We were charged a city tax when we arrived, which was unexpected. I haven't had time yet to look into that. The lobby restaurant had good pizza and salad but the interior didn't have the character of close by cafes. The property is very close to the Porte de Lilas Metro station which was convenient to get anywhere in Paris.

8.6/10 Excellent! (1,002 reviews)
The hotel has a checking policy at 16:00 which is very unusual and we didn't get our room until 19:00 after our journey from Monaco. Their excuses were pathetic and it ruined our Saturday evening plans. All they were concerned with is getting €100 per hour from their previous guests and keeping us waiting for hours! I am sure they do this regularly to many other customers. Also not to mention this pathetic hotels service, an extra pillow took 24 hours to arrive and not to mention the luggage porter never came or the crazy wedding outside our room window. I have no idea how Expedia has this garbage hotel listed. Avoid this place like the plague! Also they should be reported to trading standards as there advertised checking is a fraud!

"Shower unit was rusty in one corner . Was not aware that no transport from hotel to zoo was provided for elderly and infirmed people. My wife is 81 and walked with a stick so found the walk to and from zoo exhausting . We had booked VIP experience at zoo so had to do the walk or lose the money"
